He’s 100 percent right though. They showed jrpgs, fps games, assasins creed, mgs3 remake and ended on spider man 2. They covered their bases and still have a lot to reveal. The PlayStation hate is insane.

"We haven't heard any pushback from the PlayStation community regarding our PC plans". Biggest BS I've ever heard that shows complete disdian for the "vocal insignificant minority" aka "old men yelling at clouds" aka "fuck em - they don't hold collective power to force us to change plans".
Get this fucking clownish leadership out of PlayStation. Don't compromise on the criticism cause "but but look at revenue" "I love this brand so much, what will xbox fans say if we complain". This shit ain't about Xbox or the console war - it's about the direction of the brand you like. You're not a fucking accountant, you're gamer, get a fucking clue!
I could have done that show with a compilation of videos from third party games on Youtube.
Don't get lax on the damage control. It will come in the form of "nice words" aka "what you want to hear". Just the other day we were talking about Jim saying PC "2-3 yrs out" in that Japanese interview yet since half of their new games are more or less GAAS day and date on PC the point is moot. It's called finessing, and we already unfortunately got one motherfucker on the other side aka Xbox who has finessed the brand into oblivion - Phil - finesse king - Spencer.
They will try to condition you into GAAS, and will push it down your throats. Marketing money is already allocated for this very purpose, the projects are all well underway and highly publicized. Budgets are not endless, they're finite allocation of resources.... if x goes to project C, x doesn't go into hypothetical project A. It's that simple. Billions have been allocated to this GAAS push which could have gone into single player and MP games of all types and genres. Don't buy into any idiot that says it's not affecting this or that - it already has done so, fact. More laughable is the fact that the money you spend when you buy the console, and games on the platform directly fund this push and pay the salaries of these clowns. In essence your dollars are funding this.
The relationship is not: they dictate the rules and the direction and there is nothing we can do. We already saw how that shit can fail when Donny D tried or Kutaragi and company with the early PS3. Except of course this time there is no competitor pressure to change course, which means hardcore PS consumers won't be able to pick the other side as an escape route and effective bargaining tool to threaten and demand change "or else". In this instance, the hardcore community will have to do it all by themselves, cause Xbox under Phil is a dead man walking - and much worse.

I'm into all the new team projects, but showing so many cg trailers sends the message these games aren't close.
I've been reflecting. I watched Asmongolds reaction to the ten best announcements and he did a few extra...
There were great games and great announcements at the showcase. They had fantastic games there.
The issues were the pacing, the filler content (indies and games we knew about or that looked unappealing) and the lack of structure for the show. Along with very high expectations based on 2 years waiting.
It could have been fixed if they cut a lot of the filler, had more people from PS presenting each section and had one or two more single player narrative games.
Announcing so many shooter GAAS and none of them with much or any gameplay was a huge mistake.
At the same time I am very hyped for Marathon, FFXVI, SM2, Phantom Blade zero, Helldivers and things like Concord have my interest....
I hope you keep that same energy for the upcoming shows, including the Xbox one. Diversity was never a problem for any show, quality is the common problem.
Maybe I'm wrong again but I can't imagine how the Xbox show can be any worse. The 3 CGI trailers from Sony were legit awful.
Yeah, Jim is just a dumb businessman. He was taught to repeat: SSD, 3D Audio, Haptics. Hermen is responsible for the vision of PlayStation Studios.
Because he's a ruthless Business man who I know will get shit done and he has a track record, I won't write off because one show case. He assigned Hermen to get the content and he has clearly failed.
Get rid of him.
