I went with favor performance, vrr (the default) and I saw no point in the other options, 30 and 40 fps modes feel broken and 60 feels OK, but those extra frames are pretty amazing for a small sacrifice in resolution.
What is exactly broken?
I noticed motion blur is broken in higher fps modes but that is all I saw.

I DO NOT regret turning motion blur and film grain all the way down to ZERO. That’s one way to improve image clarity :ROFLMAO: (fuck off digital foundry and your obsession with garbage motion blur)

If there’s a quick turn function I haven’t found it yet or remember if there was at all… umm I kinda want it like now. If it’s an ability unlock that’s lame but I’ll take it.

Taking my time. Done for the night tho. Got tomorrow off and gonna go ham once I get up at 5am 🤣

I turned up difficulty; not to max but just a touch below. It seems fair so far so I kinda wonder how much of a pushover the game is on default.

I love every character so far. Odin’s portrayal caught me off guard but I love it! Dude is hilarious and comes off like a mafia boss.

Even BOY. I figured he’d be an irritating teen whose head I’d want to cut off… but I like him?!

Super impressed with narrative delivery. I shouldnt be surprised but still… knocking out of the park right off the bat.

This is just how low fps feels to me when there is a sudden downgrade.

I was sure 40 fps would feel better than this.

Anyway, I love that unlocked performance mode, this is why I got a 120fps TV with VRR support.

Agreed. I go a step further. I turned off camera shake and camera sway too. I'm not a fan of any of this stuff so I always turn it all off whenever the option to do so is available.

There is a default button already but you can also make a shortcut like swipe down on the touch button.

I also enabled Auto Pickup, Navigation Assist and Auto traversal (jumps, climbs). It's awesome.

There should be a GOW spoiler thread here, no?

I played 15 hours so far, and the game keeps improving and adding important new stuff in both gameplay and narrative sides. The narrative/story is really awesome, saw the black female that got teased in the trailer in the game for the first time and is a great character too, like everybody else. The environment art in the worlds that aren't the starting one full of snow, like the one where this girl was look stunning.

The game keeps delivering and improving.

Agreed. I'm about 17hrs in, but I haven't advanced much in the story. I've been doing a lot of side content. It's actually interesting how the side content is consequential to the story and the characters, and not just some tacked on thing to bloat the game. My guess is that I'd be at probably 1/4th of the actual main story.

About gameplay combat after around 4 hours.

  • It is faster than 2018… Kratos moves moves are more responsible… and running is faster than previous game.
  • Blade of Chaos range seems smaller and at least for now it looks less a multi-target killer weapon like original… it feels like it lose weight in the hits.
  • It is more focused in parry with shield than 2018… well I beat the game on normal without ever use parry in 2018.
  • Dodge is easier and more useful compared to 2018..
  • Arteus is more active in battles now.
  • Both weapons use are different in execution and commands.

Parry mechanic in this game is pretty forgiving. I’m leaning pretty heavy on it.

Side content looks like if you want craft other armors, so you are getting materials and other things.
