Where it’s at.
Oh yeah, I wouldn't buy one. The markup is huge too.

I think my plan now is to get a 540i when I can, that will be a while yet as I just got my current car. LOL

If I had money to spend on an M-series car.... I'd probably go for a Porsche though.
If I had the money and could have a just-for-fun car, I'd go BMW over Porsche, or maybe go fully insane and get a Dodge Challenger Hellcat or Demon.

If I ever hit the lotto, I'd get a 1971 HemiCuda.

This is my girl - 2020 Honda Civic EX hatchback. Saved up for about year for the down payment. I've had her for a little over two years now and she's already been through hell 😂 I hit a deer in 2021, not even a year after I got the car. That was $9,000 USD in damage. Then got into a small fender bender in December 2021. The most recent damage happened a week or two ago - I backed into a fencepost in my yard, but luckily it didn't cause any major damage. Here's a picture that was taken about a month after I got the car, when it was still all new and shiny...

I bought my Civic in 2008 and still have it. But I can no longer stand sedan. Recently bought a 2022 Chevy Blazer RS.

How the American Police car has changed...

The most common police cars here now are the police-model Dodge Charger, which is an SXT with no rev limiter, and the Ford Explorer Police Interceptor, which is an Explorer with the Mustang 5.0 litre engine.

Depending on what you drive, you might keep ahead of the Explorers, but those Chargers can beat most cars with ease.

In Ireland, they drive the deadly Hyundai i40....

But they do have some unmarked cars that are fast enough.

The thing is, there aren't that many really fast cars in Ireland....the green party got into power twice here and put so much tax on performance cars that only a tiny group can really afford anything outrageously fast.

If you took a V6 or straight 6 and tuned the car, you'd probably outrun almost everything on the road here.
The electric cars are actually some of the fastest here now.... I see a few Taycans and Audi e-tron GT's around (basically the same car underneath) and many Teslas too.

I drive by a Ford dealership on my way to work everyday, and I saw something that I almost want, just out of bad taste.

Sitting there on the lot is a white Bronco.

I’m thinking get that, and a vanity plate that says OJDIDIT

The second hand market here is so crazy right now... I've been looking at the UK but even an efficient 2 liter diesel is 5K or more in VRT / import tax.

The only way that it is efficient is if you go for a hybrid.

But then many cars are just no available in Ireland at all, so UK is the only choice. Even with the high tax, UK seems like better value most of the time.

S2000 is awesome, I always loved them.... saw one at the London motor show years ago. <3

I could import from Japan, it would be 10 to 15k including taxes... But I need to save first, maybe get it as a second car. For now its just a pipe dream lol

Btw, even hybrid is shit expensive here, more than other countries. It's inexcusable that the same hybrid or electric car cost 5 to 10k more than in the UK.

Yeah, I was even looking at if it was feasible to buy a rental property in the north or scotland and getting mail to there and keeping the car with UK plates....

I think I'll have to talk to a lawyer about it, not that I would be doing it soon...

The hybrid I'll just pay the vrt.

A man once said "Good cars get you from point A to point B but great cars, well, they just get you in trouble"
