Well, you dont really have much of a reason to get an Xbox instead of a PC
You have more reason to get a PC than the console if you're in that ecosystem. Gamepass provides PC-exclusive games and benefits. You also don't have to pay for multiplayer. Your hardware actually has resale value as well. Also Steam >>>>>>> microsoft store.

Well deserved. Sony is out here releasing games and catering to the needs of the hardcore gamer while MS is fighting court cases and trying to buy out a publisher that was already releasing games on their platform. MS deserve to get completely rekt. It will be hilarious if after all this work and damage to their brand they still don’t get ABK.

It's not just hardcore gamers; just gamers in general. Hardcore, core, casual and mainstream. This is around the time you start getting more of the last two hopping in (albeit in smaller amounts), with games like Hogwarts Legacy helping. And clearly, price isn't a concern for even them if the quality is there and it looks like many others are already going a certain way.

Microsoft have missed their chance so badly; they are probably praying ABK is approved so that they can have hope to salvage and build up a presence for 10th-gen.

But I thought the same @Welfare not only tried to imply close to 4M consoles on retail channels but also stated that the XSeries was tracking ahead of the Xbone, using whatever convenient figures for hardware splits to justify that?

Damn.

Which means this must be especially sobering news for him.

It's amazed me how someone can have the Series X go from 2:1 to being outpaced 2:1 by the Series S without any data to back it up. I'm talking out of my ass with the ratios here, I believe they're actually higher.

That shows a massive change in consumer preference with nothing to back it up, absolutely nothing.

Starfield + more series x stock could change their fortunes this year. If it doesn't this generation will be brutal for xbox. Abk obviously could change things.
Nah, I think in Normieville that ship sailed awhile ago. I think starfield will cater to people who already have an Xbox at this point and people who plan to play it on pc. Last years no show and Ps5s actually being available, tied with a very lucky marketing deal of hog warts being a nextgen only (for now) game sealed this generation imo. It’s like I’ve been saying, Xbox is so irrelevant they may end up diminishing cod by being associated with Xbox.
