To be fair, the game was “marketed” for years due to its unique circumstance as a free tech demo for PS5.
Still it’s clear the company should put more time into family friendly titles. Sackboy’s Adventure will not be enough. A very loud sector of us want full commitment to these kind of games.
Kojima had all the leverage going into the partnership. Absolutely great business on his part keeping the rights. He did not need Sony but they needed to bolster their first party offerings for PS5’s launch.
VF5 felt like a testing ground for what would inevitably be the next entry. I really hope they pull it off because 3D fighters are in a rough spot currently.
Visual updates to CV and Zero would be a nice pallet cleanse because remake culture has gotten way out of control. It’s to the point where they’re ruining the lasting memory of the games.
Just make the originals playable, or in the case of DR keep them playable.
Also I hope this isn’t a trend of Capcom just churning games through RE Engine, modernizing them politically, and calling that their remake.
