    I know this idea is unpopular with many, but a strategic joint venture partnership with a larger company like Amazon, etc. (not a full merger or acquisition) would likely help to ensure PlayStation’s foothold in the gaming industry.

    My guess the only true way Sony can compete with MS is if they allow themselves to be absorbed by the likes of Apple, Alphabet, or Amazon.

    Konami is starting to make a resurgence in the console game sphere. Suikoden, MGS, Silent Hill games, rumored Castlevania revival. They would be good for Sony as an investment, not an acquisition.
