No, the courts have been pretty explicitly clear on this before. No loopholes or legal games. This here with the OP is all just the result of abuse of CR laws. They lay claim on things like firmware, DRM, hardware keys and other such things on YOUR hardware, to threaten CR lawfare. It's not even...
But if the game ends up killing the entire studio (which seems reasonably possible at this point.. rumors even of it aside) with no other IPs or significant value to speak of.. It kind of feels like it should be counted against the game.
Wonderful streaming future.... ROFL yeah right. Paying them to play the game you own. And this is only the slightest of the bullshit that a streaming future would hold if it was possible.
This was huge.. It seems that gamefreak had everything stored in one place. They got source codes, cut content, info about upcoming games, internal communications, lore discussion and work and documents.. hell, the got the original pitch document for the 3rd generation! Looks like even...
Good start.. though i fear that without any other action this will just make it easier for big business and market forces to normalize the concept in a negative way. This should be moved forward with a legal extension of digital ownership rights. Of course until we do something about current...
It would not be surprising. What a complete disaster. lol
A dull uninspired game nobody asked for, based on a fad that was over a decade + ago.. with an art design that seems unfair to call shit, for the sake of actual shit.
I'd say it's a pretty spot on and reasonable phrase that is underused in most circumstances.
Anything unironically using the phrase including "modern audience" fits the bill much better. ugh
This!
Interesting idea. It would be cool to have a deep HP RPG.. I'm just not sure I like the idea of Japanese media and modern western media, let alone companies, working so closely together in principle. I'd rather hey work on their own media and niche.
If they were able to get the rights directly...
The only thing that i can think of to complain about (that i know of) is the usual 'current year' downgrade changes to some of the characters and designs. Are there other controversies or issues?
That is a possibility too. I personally hated the completely unnecessary redesign. But far more...
To each his own. I personally liked 1 and 3 best. I did like them all though, to be sure. Nothing really captures the true atmosphere and horror of the town quite like 1. The state of its nightmare world felt like a town truly being dragged into a hellish nightmare.
Sorry to hear.. That's why i...
Emulators are completely legal and explicitly protected. These big companies are abusing questionable little loopholes in CR law to twist them to their bidding. Never forget that.
CR laws need to be totally rewritten from the ground up. In a much more limited scope and effect, as originally...
What were the excuses for the laughably terrible random NPC designs and designs in general? Or was that treated as one of those things you aren't allowed to notice or comment on?
You do understand that it is a fictional game with giant cold war nuclear robots, ghosts, psychics and other fantasy stuff right? Also for he sake of argument... Against the type of weapons they have to worry about, in that era, there's nothing they could wear that would matter regardless. Not...
This may seem random but.. I don't know, choosing to leave the CPU untouched just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It reinforces the worst aspects of modern gaming. Games are getting shinier but less complex when it comes to things like AI, dynamism and persistence etc. from world building to story.
