I'm reminded of a Reddit thread by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier with some information about the steps behind journalism.
While it can be tempting to turn to Youtube, Tiktok or other social media personalities for your news, it's important to remember these people are entertainers, not...
This is very sad news for fans of the franchise.
I see they released a patch to address some issues, though not all problems were resolved. I hope they can swiftly mitigate these issues for the players.
Elden Ring 2 is unlikely. At least not in the capacity that FromSoftware would develop it.

They are focusing on new IP creation at the moment. Their next release will likely be an original IP...
Ah. I'm not sure FromSoftware has any creative motivation to revisit Dark Souls/Demon's Souls. At least not so long as Miyazaki is CEO, based on what he's conveyed in interviews.
I think From wants to continue releasing new IP. Presumably, letting From work on new IP would benefit Sony, since...
What are you conveying here?
Are you suggesting Blue Point is just going to become a Soulslike developer, releasing new titled entries into Demon's Souls regardless of this potential acquisition?
This was a tough year to be in the running for any category. We had so many great selections across the board, and for fans of many different genres. It's no doubt disappointing for DA fans that it did not receive more nominations, but I hope they can continue to enjoy the game without this...
Thank you for providing the additional resources and context, so we can stay informed on the subject.
The post you'd quoted was suggesting that it was a probability that From's next game would be published by Sony.
Your response, as you've reiterated here, discussed how it was an easy guess...
What is kind of funny is if the release date pushes, or is otherwise uncertain, it can be most anticipated again in future years. Elden Ring won it in both 2020 and 2021.
It's less "jumping parts" and more "playing efficiently" to reach a desired location in the story.
Without spoiling anything, the DLC is gated in a location which can only be accessed by teleporting. There are two "methods" to teleport to this location. The first is very early in the game, and...
To play devil's advocate on the other side of the conversation for a moment, they seem to be referring to the minimum win conditions necessary to reach the credits of the base game.
On this point, they are partially correct. You could "beat other demi-gods;" however, beating Mogh and Radahn...
So, I've beaten the game four times, and had six separate playthroughs. I'm prefacing this to you, just to try to establish some common ground that we like the same game.
The content which gates the DLC is optional, but in fairness to the consideration of what others are expressing, it is story...
The subtle distinction is collaboration, vs. publishing. Sony bought about $120M USD of FromSoftware shares, which Kadokawa stated would be used for expanding international publishing.
Sony could well be working on a joint title with FromSoftware, but Kadokawa was trying to establish...
Except that pretty much every financial report from Kadokawa for the past two years have explicitly stated they're actively trying to enable to self-published future titles.
Here's a slide from their most recent earnings presentation, note the second to last bullet.
I'm not saying you can't...
Kadokawa has their fingers in A LOT of pies for the anime industry.
Their main value proposition is IP creation and cross-media productions. (I.E. Taking a Light Novel and making revenue off of anime and manga adaptations, plus merchandise and games)
Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that Sony would be considering a multi-billion dollar acquisition to get their hands on The Adventures Cookies & Cream.
Ah. PSN will continue to be something people complain about, like the Ubisoft and EA launchers.
It doesn't seriously effect sales numbers, but people will keep flame reviewing on Steam about it.
Honestly, I don't mind if PSN is just to help them justify MAU growth to continue porting to PC...
PC gamers will just wait till games port to PC one way or another. This is how it's always been. We'll complain about not being able to play day 1, but we can wait six months to a year.
Not out of spite, just inconvenience and an unwillingness to expand beyond the digital libraries locked on PC.
