Riot Launcher is in the same way as Battle.net, a history of being entrenched into the PC community. A Sony launcher will not be that way, just like Win Store and EGS.

Why will Sony succeed when others failed? PS exclusives aren't the big draws some here make it to be. Epic has one of the biggest games on the planet and EGS still is a failure.

Uhm...quality? The PSN stuff itself is not a good storefront in it self. Terrible discovery, no gifting, a mediocre rating system that scores the worst games on the store like 3/5 stars, a backend that requires long time with certification to both release games and patch games, a discount system...
None of these mean than you can buld a well-liked, good and fully functional PC storefront.
Btw, none of Sonys own stores are particularly liked and lacks a lot of Steams features that people like with Steam, a big feature is gifting.
