News FF7 Rebirth was Japan's no.1 selling game for March. Ampere data suggests it has sold around 2 Million copies. |UP| Analysts says it's underperforming

If PC is 200K leaves 800K for PS and XB. PS is 300K in JP, leaving 500K PS/XB rotw. https://www.installbaseforum.com/forums/threads/msft-cma-pf-response-global-game-sales-volume-of-publishers-across-console-platforms-in-2021.1457/#post-145474 We already know the general splits for game sales...

No need to worry. FF is very profitable due to how much it sells at full price. 3-5M = $200-350M in revenue. Dev cost is likely <$100M due to lower JP wages, so its very profitable for SE. Even more so when Sony pays up and does marketing. CCU are not sales. Try again. Playstation Y8 JP...

His source are analyst estimates of unknown accuracy. Reminder analysts do not have access to NPD digital sales or JP digital sales or rest of the world region sales. NA and JP are the two biggest markets for FF.

News Circana / Piscatella: US Physical Software Spending Dropped Under 5% of Total Spending in 2023.

That user is once again spreading misinformation. Sony reports digital revenue as 100% not just their 30% cut Sony reports physical revenue as just their cut which is ~10-15% as a platform holder in physical iirc. i.e 3rd party digital game is reported as $70 same 3rd party physical game is...

China and SK are monopolised by Tencent, NetEase and SK firms. Anyone with basic knowledge would know this. Steam is not a gotcha. Steams revenue is estimated as $7B globally of which a fraction is China. China revenue is miniscule to the entire Chinese market of $14B. Sure Playstation...

See some of my graphs being posted. People tend to conflate the PC market for AAA/AA/F2P games because they include China and SK, huge PC markets, but are largely untapped to foreign companies due to demographics and government laws. The PC market may be $40B globally but $20B of that is China...
