Mobile gaming is already worth more than console gaming...because soccer mums and grandparents like playing mickey mouse games on their phone. It's a much wider base.
But ultimately the scale and scope of those games is way off and the extent to which it can impact AAA gaming is limited.
Some of the most favoured games on PC are absolute trash, or just decent games that have been hyped to high heaven. I remember finally playing Dying Light a couple years ago. It's a decent games, but sold massively on PC and is well loved.
