They are but not in the way Disney is. Disney is more relaxed with their IP's as they have to be to keep their brand culturally relevant and so they can continue to reach new demographics as one generation outgrows them.
PS IP's weren't so strong at the time and the games they made weren't really gonna blow up. Also they didn't have the capital back then to fully go all the way. But, to deny he didn't have the right idea would definitely be a choice lol.
Yeah there is. Gamers want fun games, with great gameplay loops that offers them their money worth without being intrusive on their wallets every step of the way after a purchase.

The mistake Sony made was thinking PC players didn't also buy consoles to buy the Single Player Games. The ones who didn't buy into your console ecosystem were never gonna support your games even on their platform either.

I will say a gifting system should be on PSN it's absolutely ridiculous it doesn't exist because Sony is absolutely shit with localizing their stores in certain markets.

I said a year after Mass Availability, there shouldn't be declines but more consistency. PS5 was not readily available till last year... The aim should be to maintain. Instead Sales fell off by last summer. But I'm sure you'll come back with more excuses about this.
