A wireless PSVR2 would be a good idea

Like I been saying the chase for power in console & any hardware isn’t the future for gaming. Sure you want enough power but as shown w Nintendo Switch & Meta Quest games > power/performance.

PSVR2 should’ve release w a $600 high performance then a $300 less performance matching Meta Quest

PS should follow the same w console/handheld hybrid as Nintendo. PS6 being a hybrid handheld console $400 same power as PS5 but using ai & pssr up scaling to ensure image & performance quality while at cheap price. The moment PS console tries to compete w PC w performance is when they loose on both end. PS console will never compete w PC in performance. PS should be focusing on accessibility & remaining low price off the rip all PS console including PSVR should be profitable day 1 like Nintendo.

More focus on actually making games. PS has horrible output which is why Nintendo profit is 3x w 1/3 the revenue. Nintendo relies less on 3rd party compare to PS which is not good.

PSVR2 flopped horribly so let's release an even more expensive wireless model

PSVR2 flop because of pricing. Not sure what made Sony/PS think going w more power was what VR users wanted. VR users don’t care about power just like most gamers in general don’t. PSVR2 should’ve at the very least come out w a high performance $600 VR & a low performance $300 VR just like Meta. The most important part about VR like in any other hardware/storefront base ecosystem are the exclusive games & w PS barely supporting it w first party 3rd party skips PSVR2 & focuses on Meta Quest.

RE4 & GTA7 are great but there should’ve been more like a Demon Souls VR, Death Stranding VR & new multiplayer centric VR game like reviving Everybody Golf & making it compatible w PSVR2 instead PS focus is on PC & Nintendo Switch diminishing PS own platform, storefront & hardware & simultaneously ignoring there own platform which they can grow & monetized.

The accessibility for PSVR2 is just not there when a family or kid can pick up a Quest for $200-$300 & it’s portable sure it may be less performative but like Nintendo has show w Switch, gamers don’t care they want accessibility & exclusive games that are quality & fun experience.

PSVR2 didn't flop because of the price. The plan was always to release a top of the range headset with all the bells and whistles, aim it at the hardcore crowd then, overtime, when the price comes down, have more mass market appeal.

Psvr2 failed because after Jim left, Sony refused to touch it and are just generally retarded.

Destiny not having a PSVR2 mode is dumb. Killzone not getting a remake with PSVR2 is more dumb.
Sony not using VR2 as an excuse to remake or remaster old FPSs is beyond retarded. King's field remake in VR? Worth every penny for the price of entry.

It's a goddamned shame they didn't support psvr2 because it was the last real chance that VR had to succeed, maybe for another ten years. For that, I'll always hate Sony's current leadership.

They had the best fucking headset on the market, at an extremely affordable price, and pissed it away.

Games. It needs 1st party games.

I'm going to disagree with you here. I don't think the problem is the lack of 1st party games.

I think the problem is cost and barriers to access and convenience.

You need a PS5 and a PSVR2 (and it's still wired).

The Quest 3S is 299 and is stand alone and wireless. Quest 3 512gb is 500 dollars.

Even on sale a PS5 Digital and a PSVR2 is 725 and the PSVR2 isn't wireless. I think cost is a bigger factor here than games. As the PSVR2 went on sale, you've seen it rise to 25th on the Amazon chart. Most of the best selling games on Meta Quest 3 are also on PSVR2.

It needs a revision and it needs price reduction. Honestly there should probably be several models of the PSVR2 to hit the different levels of the market.

I think Sony needs to explore the following

Pricing
Current PSVR2 at 350
PSVR2 wireless at 450
PSVR2 wireless at 550 with stand-alone capacity for select games
PSVR2 Wireless Pro for 700 dollars
