Idk why anybody was expecting this to come to game pass when the ABK deal hasn't even closed yet

Hardcore people will still buy the franchise and socials/casuals would probably play it for a month or two.

I'd say 20 is a high estimate. You'll hear "I'll wait until it hits Gamepass" and move on. If the deal doesn't go through (looking a bit shaky at the moment) then they will be like no one cares about ABK anyway.

If the ABK acquisition closes by May, then I can easily see Diablo IV being day one on Game Pass. I can also see Microsoft delaying the game if it needs more time as well. If the ABK acquisition doesn't close by June, then obviously it won't be on Game Pass day one.
No, still being decided on by regulators in multiple countries. We won't know what most of them say until the end of April.

I could’ve sword Phil Spencer even said all future activsion blizzard games would be on gamepass? Now being the snake oil sales man he is maybe he meant like eventually but not say one? Or blizzard is reading the room and not 100 percent sure the deal is even going to go through?

So, let's get this straight. CoD is coming to Nvidia and Nintendo is because MS are buying ABK, Diablo not coming to gamepass is because MS haven't bought ABK yet.
