If "pretty soon" = at least five months out, sure OK 😂.

Stuff like the Vidoc and what was there (or better to say, what wasn't there) is just part-and-parcel for modern-era SIE these days.

I updated the OP. Sounds that they reworked a lot of things, and that next year we may get to play some alpha or beta, not sure if open or closed (maybe both).

2025 doesn't seem to sound as set in stone for the final game release, I'd say 2026 sounds more likely now.

Still confirmed for Xbox as well.
Yes, when Sony acquired the 100% of Bungie mentioned that the future Bungie games were going to continue releasing in all platforms day one, including rival consoles.

Yeah but why do you think it will flop?
And the deal is done, Sony isnt gonna sell it off or benefit from if they have to. Or if its fails they wont benefit and neither will any of the fans.
Why not hope it succeeds and Sony can move on. They have a track record of making decent games so it shouldnt be too hard to succeed. And with Sony taking over the incompetent management, it has a better chance.

I think it was more MS was gonna buy them, and Sony kinda had to as they were in the market for a FPS/MP studio. Lose another studio to Xbox after Bethesda, Ninja Theory, Obsidian etc.

As much as I love Sony to buy Sega, it would cost way more than 3billion to them I think and they didnt want to be bought. They should still try. If I was Sony, Id still buy Sega, Warner and Fromsoft. Both for games and movie wise. Instead of the the rumoured Paramount.

I would of got Remedy when they were on sale as they make similar games to what PS fans like. But Sony still needs a FPS studio, one as proven as Bungie doesnt come often.
They overpaid, but its not our money lol and dont think Sony would of gone spending if they didnt buy Bungie. They are cheap asses
It has a high possibility to flop. The trailer doesn't tell anything and the art style looks like a softer version of Overwatch. Also thereis literally zero hype for Marathon by Bungie fans. Plus Sony is profit-oriented. If Bungie brings more loss than profit of course they will consider selling Bungie. That's how they usually do with asstes they are not satisfied with. There would be enough interested buyers.

If this doesn't launch as a F2P title it's going to be DOA and suffer the same fate as Concord.

Even as a F2P title the deck is stacked against it.

Nonsense on both points.

This is fine as a paid game and it has nothing stacked against it.

Bungie have a loyal fanbase and this game has hardly any competition.

It will be a sure success.

I couldn’t care less what they think.

Marathon is a different animal.

How many AAA PVEVP extraction shooters exist to compete with it?

You simply have an issue cause it is GaaS. Who is forcing you to play it?

The world doesn’t revolve around your tastes or mine alone.

Honestly wanting games to fail cause you don’t like the genre is pathetic. Grow up.

I don't "want" it to fail. I'm saying that it is going to fail.

Knowing Bungie, it'll cost $40-$70, be littered with MTX, and given the niche genre (extraction shooter), draw a very small crowd.

Why do you think it has a high probability to flop though, like reasons? You havent seen the gameplay yet. Has there other games flopped? Millions of people online wanting something to flop before they have even seen it drives a huge amount of negativity and help towards it flopping though.
It doesnt really look like overwatch and not softer either.

Fans are just waiting I guess. 21million views for the trailer, Im sure the gameplay trailer will get plenty views.
I cant remember the last time Sony sold a big gaming studio. They just close them down

Why has Gaming communities become a place where people just want games they dont want to succeed for whatever reason to fail. Doesnt matter if other people are fans of the genre or game. As long they want it fail it must suck and fail.
Im a bungie fan, Im guessing your not. Im looking forward to seeing what they have. But for now its just waiting and merit. Like Im hyped for the next Fromsoft game or Naughty Dog or Santa Monica game.

Here we go again... Guess what? Sony isn't Interested in racing towards the bottom with their GaaS games and I'm glad they aren't going the F2P route.

Bungie is a premium multiplayer developer and I would love to see them right their ship and have another hit.
