I’m reading the responses in the article and I don’t see what you’re talking about. I see people mentioning GamePass helping with sales and revenue, but I don’t see anyone claiming a AAA single player game can make money solely on subs.

They have a content deal with Sony, I would imagine they can’t put the game on GamePass day one even if they wanted to.
It’s crazy how much bad news Microsoft has accrued today. Uk calling them out on their lies and actually investigating the acquisition, halo news, and devs saying gamepass isn’t good for single player.

This point has been denied aggressively along the way, but anyone honest about all this has always known what such services mean to our hobby.
With an increasing portfolio of Multiplayer games being f2p sucking the oxygen out of the room, I’m not even sure where these services fit outside of back catalogue and shovelware.

Gamepass has been around, other devs have done the song and dance. The information goes around assuming it’s not even shared officially to prospects.
