Sales for FF16 are strong if not modest. It’s not a bomb but it’s also not a runaway success. I agree with the sales and fanbase downtrend game over game. At this point I’m also expecting Ff7r part 2 to do better.

Anyone who claimed it would do Ragnarok sales is way off. It won’t and nor does it deserve it.

Yo fuck that game. Half baked trash that looks and runs like poop. Should’ve gotten a 60% meta honestly
Who claimed FFXVI would do Ragnarok numbers? That's an absurd angle to go after the game by setting it up with completely unrealistic expectations.

I don't see why it wouldn't deserve Ragnarok numbers anyway, it's a great game and more remarkable than Ragnarok.

But we have actual sales data that shows the opposite...
Plus the Square Enix financials hints they didn't even break even with FFXVI and it hurts a lot their profits.
Somethings is cleary off bettween what PR Square said and the results they shows.
What data shows the opposite, my guy? Every official source has said the sales have been good. Square is also not afraid to say when sales of a game have disappointed them.

After the disasters SE have churned out this last year I don’t think even Zelda TOTK would have helped them break even.

Let alone FF16.

You need to qualify your posts with the word standalone. Only the standalone Series X model was hard to find. The Forza bundle was plentiful. You've been fucking schooled so hard before but the basic economics of it is that XSX was demand constrained, not supply constrained.
Basic economics shows that the model that was hard to find was the one in demand lmfao

Standalone X always sold more than the Forza bundle when in stock. Sales didn't merely transfer from the bundle to the standalone.

None of you know a thing about economics or supply/demand.

Final Fantasy 16 would have had to sell 10 million at least in a month at full price to make a difference in the financials.

There are MANY in denial on this forum about this game's performance and future sales. As it won't have a long tail. But your determination to also make it seem like a colossal failure is so so weird lmao.

The game is a success. It has recouped it's budget and Marketing... Expecting the game to recoup every other games loss for the years is... High key delusional

How come PS5 bundles sold out back then? If demand is high enough, the product sells, regardless of price.

Speaking of economics, companies will often use bundles to sell products at a higher price because demand allows them to do it.

At this point, you're just embarrassing. Nothing against you personally but you bending over backwards to explain something that's easily explained using Occam's Razor, is getting a bit stale.

Of course not, please enlighten us.

"If there is a decrease in supply of goods and services while demand remains the same, prices tend to rise to a higher equilibrium price and a lower quantity of goods and services."

Please do publish your study as to why the above is false, maybe you'll win a nobel.

I have no ideia where you “learn” that but…

If there is the demand even with supply issues consumer trend to buy even expensive models paying more than the MSRP price.

Yeah because I kept saying for months that if the standalone X were made more available than the bundle it would sell more and it was dumb for Microsoft to try selling a crap $559 bundle just because Sony did it with a new game.

And guess what happened since then. The most supplied and sold model is the standalone X! Amazon is only selling that X in meaningful numbers, Walmart, Target, and GameStop have the standalone selling better, and Best Buy right now is showing the Diablo over the standalone, but it also has the S doing better than either, so something is up there.

I'd be your teacher in Business 101 lmao you're not good at this. Funny how when I say things, reality backs me up.

Only on this forum is it hard to comprehend what was actually in demand and what wasn't.

Get out of the hypothetical and snap back to reality. There is plenty of evidence that shows that the standalone $499 X wouldn't just sell what the Forza bundle did and add nothing on top of that, but instead sold far more than the Forza bundle when made available.

We know it sold out for months before June and it would always place higher and sell more than the bundle than when the bundle was all by itself.

That's what actually happened. Not whatever you're going on about.

If the Forza bundle had 10K available, it only sold 5K. If the standalone X had 10K, it sold all 10K.

So we agree in your example that there is demand for 15k Series X but no 20k Series X?

You got schooled. I don't know how you can even show your face here after what I did to you.

People on this page in this thread are spelling it out for you because you still don't get it.

If a good is in demand, people will pay more to purchase it. That didn't happen with the XSX.

Maybe the wretched vermin on installbase will believe you. Have you tried having a conversation there?

PS5 and Xbox were actually kind of close in 2022 but then in 2023 we all know Xbox was way down. The difference must be huge now.
