Over the last few weeks, the Steam version of Concord has continued to see various updates while rumors of a relaunch circulate.

There were similar reports for Redfall and then Microsoft shutdown the studio and the DLC cancelled 
Jeez...how stubborn and narcissistic can Hermen Hulst be? He would rather waste another 100m on this failure of a game than to admit his wrongdoings. I told you Hermen is another Jim Ryan. Hermen Hulst needs to go.

It would be a waste to not launch it in some capacity. A lot of time and money went into this. What are they supposed to do, throw away all the assets?
Plus, games should be preserved, when possible. This game should be made playable in *some* capacity, even if its not on Sony's dime.

There are two accounts playing the game on Steam almost every day.
I have no ideia how that works but that already a hint that something was happening behind the scenes.
The game was so great to not have a relaunch.

Unless those updates include SIGNIFICANT character redesigns for the majority of the cast, it won't mean anything.
And no, that doesn't mean swapping out non-white characters; only the smallest portion of gamers who happen to be complete idiots would be pushing for that. They're ignorable. What it DOES mean, is not making Val a fused beachball and globe, or giving a character a frog suit for a "legendary" skin.
...and maybe avoiding characters having purple hair. Because we all know what that symbolizes these days, and it isn't anything good.

Characters need to be changed or redesigned...if they dont have characters that resonate, then Concord cannot take off... Pun intended.

You have no concept of how much anything costs lol.
They have sunk costs in Concord, getting anything in return at this point makes sense.
But short of a complete overhaul, I can't imagine this landing.

Exactly, there can be no half measures or this is a waste of time by Sony and Firewall.
As @thicc_girls_are_teh_best says, they need to drop all the symbolism (we already know the pronouns won't be getting removed) and make this look less like a Sweet Baby after school project.
These changes would be "easy" and "quick", with the exception of making it F2P.
I'd add to the list to include proper single campaign and specially to remove everything related to wokism.
To turn a game F2P would require many huge and complex changes: to highly change the design and progression of the game, unlockables and would need to create appealing enough monetization plus tons of extra related content. So I think they won't make it F2P.

As far as I know this guy is lying because we can't know the sizes of the updates.
We only know they modified branches of their repository with these names:
The names of the branches modified after launch seem to refer to:
- "QA" (so pretty likely builds for internal testers)
- "playtest" (meaning, small tests for external players, normally representing their target user)
- "S1" (which may refer to "season ") with the variants:
- "test nightly"
- "shipping nightly"
- nightly normally refers to frequent newer, smaller, unstable, versions with minor changes that kept released before they releasethe next major 'oficial' version
- "PvE mode": this is the most interesting one
But well, what we have is a nothing burger, it can be just some small internal changes and tweaks and they did put it here for someone to test it live (the few CCUs detected after launch).
We also know that they have been making these changes multiple times per day since launch:
