Also launched on windows game store and epic since that original concurrent milestone w/ its f2p launch. I’m sure warmind.io will gives hard numbers tomorrow .

They completely broke all my builds with the reworked mod system.

This is more bothersome for my PvP build. I have no idea how to get back to where I was and it’s going to involve a shit ton of playtesting in live matches. Instead of having an armor set kitted for smg/sniper load out for instance you do it by the weapons energy type instead for unflinching or dexterity perks etc… I don’t like it. It’s a half baked balance rework that drastically neuters PvP too. Screams work in progress which I’m sure it is. Previous mods were supposed to expire when armor sunsetting was a thing. It was also a source of a lot of issues as they kept stacking on top of each other and players started doing some nutty shit. This is sorta like starting from scratch again.

My sidearm damage mod being gone altogether has killed my two-tap Halo Ce magnum PvP build. I no longer have mods that bump my mobility and strength +20 for free. This puts me into a position where I may have to redo the min/max game on my armor… bruh you know how long that takes!? It never ends actually.

Most likely due to memory constraints like always. They didn’t build on mods last year at all and hopefully they start introducing more again this year.

I’m less powerful that’s for sure. This will be a negative for some but time will tell. Armor charge system is generally a nerf vs charges and wells from before but it seems it’s meant to be a bit more user friendly. Game went back to having bonuses tied to orbs. I was never a fan of that really. Something like charge harvester was better. Bonuses came from rapid kills and assists and was more reliable to proc without having to worry about distance and picking up an orb or well.

Some more powerful things from before were rolled into new subclass abilities. So I’m probably missing a bunch of major shit that will change my initial impressions on the buildcraft rebalances. But even then, it’s still rebalance were I can still do some of the same stuff but dialed back a bit in another way.

These changes kinda resemble how they went casual with D2 vanilla launch and how they killed random rolls, double primaries, and weapons were generally less powerful with less perks. This is hyperbole but the way they dialed back on buildcrafting still reminds me of that feeling.

… buildcrafting still needs a lot more work. I’m sure it’ll be addressed over the year as they use players for feedback. It just sucks always having to go thru this bitching and feedback process year after year with every major rework. It’s part of the process but it never feels great.

Bring back weapon specific mods. If memory is an issue lump them into wider categories. Lumping by energy type sucks and messier to me. Only reason it’ll be somewhat manageable is because of load outs finally being a thing.

This is sorta insignificant to casual players. Strictly from long term player pov. I’m sure it doesn’t matter as much to anyone else.

This is way too goddamn hard on legendary solo for these last two stages. I get stuck on some encounters for hours. It’s mostly because they force you to use strand in those sections and you’re not built into it or even have it fully opened up.

Solo is ridiculous for this. I hear co-op is easier because it seems like they sorta did something funky with scaling when solo. It was the other way around for witch queen. I’m at the point where I’m about to craft a new weapon with healing perks just for it. My buddy has been stuck at final boss for 6 hours and hundreds of deaths.

I’m caving and finishing it with a buddy. I’m giving up on finishing it solo for now. Holy shit I wanted to break this brand new $70 controller 🤬

I'm playing in classic mode solo and am still getting my assed kicked. But I'm still under-leveled so I can't blame the game just yet.

I always play solo and sometimes when I keep dying on a boss I want to ask for help but I never figured out how.

Can you play coop after putting your flag in a no respawn zone (before boss)?

I checked the menus and I couldn't find it.

I was wondering the exact same thing earlier and I believe you have to co-op from orbit where it says add member, but from the flag no. And it's sad there's no matchmaking, it'd be convenient to place the flag and then be able to matchmake people for that boss.

The mission is so long I don't want to leave and restart until we reach the boss again ☹️

Campaign missions have checkpoints usually were you find a rally flag. Some checkpoints aren’t so generous. And yea you can invite a friend for co-op at any time in the mission without having to exit. They’ve been known to lock a second player out for seasonal exotic quests but they’re not doing that here.

This final boss is ridiculous. Tried with my buddy for a good hour. We’re gonna try again fresh tomorrow. You need to build into it for sure. Good thing is you don’t need to play strand for the final mission even tho if you gives you the choice to go strand. You should not. Go with what you actually built into.

It needs to be tuned. They went too far this time :ROFLMAO:

I’m not 100% sure if it’s at all flags but you will see a “checkpoint reached” above your super meter when you’ve reached one. You can leave that mission and return to it at any time.

If you’re in a campaign mission… you should be able to open your in-game menu as you would to check your gear, go to the roster tab and be able to invite anyone who’s on your friendlist by clicking their name and you should have the option to invite them.

Okay took a few hours to finally get a winning run. Definitely one of the most difficult encounters ever in the series. Arbalest is useful against tormentors. Tons of damage. I think all kinetic weapons got a huge damage buff. Started to get my head around the new mod system. It’s okay for now I’m not hating on it as much as I did yesterday. Blue mods decay armor charge over time; yellow mods do not decay until you use their benefit.

Lots of movement. Prioritize tormentors. Stay moving or he’ll bomb the platform. Tell your buddy if you see that AoE attack coming as you might sleep on it if you’re in ADS. Special weapon grenade launcher with spike nades make easy work of him in 2nd phase.

I know a lot of people are hating on this boss even on normal and it took hours upon hours of runs and deaths and rethinking your entire build etc. to get it done on Legendary. There’s 3 very tough boss battles in this campaign . I enjoyed all of them. 2nd to last mission was the most fun. The narrative stinks but I enjoyed the actual campaign as far it goes for shooting and challenge.

I uploaded that winning run (excuse the first 20-30 secs in the beginning of no activity was waiting for my buddy to be ready)
