News Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate reveal event announced, premiering May 6 at 9AM PT/12PM ET.

I actually loved the codename Apollo.
Will be interesting what they do. Final Shape was more a story about the player journey over the 10 years. The conflict felt thrown together over the last 4 years to rush to the 10 year mark tbh. And this is me saying this while really impressed with Final Shape’s narrative. But the witness and the darkness etc fell flat to me.
With that said. We kinda got nowhere too. So looking forward to see what this new team is doing.

It’s likely to launch on July 14th as determined by the end of the current season in game and reinforced with the Marathon ARG last week.
Civil War breaks out between the 9. One of them has already claimed the refreshed and reskinned Taken and Dread enemies as their new god.

**Reminder** : This is information that WILL NOT be 100% correct, but hopefully close as possible
**Already known**
For content
- Story will be no longer one linear narrative
- Pre golden age train crashes into the city somewhere. Only half of it though, as it came through a portal.
- Some dude on it named Lodi. Somewhere on said train or on him is a calling card for the Nine.
- We track the location of the portals origins, which takes us to the new destination.
- I’ve been told the name is “Keplar” although I assume it was supposed to be Kepler. My personal guess, is that this is a placeholder name, as Kepler planets are very generic in naming due to the telescope used.
- Upon finding the other half of this train, there’s another character there who has left the Nine.
- This planets Time is all fucked up. Seems like vex and fallen will be the enemies here. Vex seeing as time is kind of their thing.
- Apparently we were “brought” here because some sort of incident with the Nine.
**Story Beats**
Since the story is “non-linear”, there’s multiple things happening which you can partake in.
- One of the story focuses is on Osiris and the person we find on the train in the new destination
- One of the fallen houses is on this planet, seem to be the main antagonist.
- Ikora investigates the Lodi guy we found on the train
- Something to do with Drifter and his ship. I don’t actually know any Destiny lore. So I’m guessing he has ties
- Apparently it’s a Vex raid due to them being there. Personally excited, as we haven’t had a new vex raid since Shadowkeep.

- Arms day returning at some point, weekly event like iron banner not Wednesday every week
- Shooting range set up by banshee
This would be months out so could obviously get scrapped.

Destiny 2 was the top 3 biggest money makers on Steam last year. And it made more money than GTA and Roblox in June/July for PSN.
They are doing fine.

ARG community chess puzzle solved and ended up with a cinematic. There might be more teases with next week’s update leading into next expansion.
What’s cool about this cinematic is that Bungie managed to blend and insert the player character in-engine alongside pre-rendered. They did similar this season as well.

Content of the “Year of Prophecy” collector’s edition has been revealed as well as the name of Destiny’s 2nd expansion for the year; “Renegades.”
