I don't get why Microsoft just doesn't swallow there pride and do what Sega did back in 2001 and come out and announce there exit out of the hardware and just go full 3rd party.
Pride is the only thing stopping them cause it sure ain't there hardware selling.

That Ding guy has issued a retraction praising Xbox dev support to the hilt. It’s obvious what he initially said is happening, shit console sales, will be lower to non existent with prices rises, next Gen possibly just a pc. Why build Xbox software??

The quick port profit dummies like Hemen and Sony CEO can learn from this. Selling 1-3 million copies of your most popular titles isnt a good thing and makes your console less important
MS will stop paying 3rd party for Gamepass deals in the next couple years or keep it PC only. There not gonna keep paying publishers like Capcom and Sega. They cant keep wasting money now that there console numbers are going down and have no need to do it. Gamepass at most will become like EAand Ubisoft subscription and be 1st party titles only and be available on PS

They won’t do that as long as there are still 20 to 30 Million idiots out there buying their hardware.
They‘re going to sell them some shitty Xbox branded handhelds and prebuilt PCs for ridiculous amounts of money over the next few years.
So instead of Xbox competing w PS & Nintendo where Xbox could sell 75-100 million if they pull all support for PC releases & give Xbox a room to exist they will now compete w Steam who has a defacto monopoly in the pc gaming storefront market & who has even more exclusive from 3rd party on the Steam storefront/platform then PS & Nintendo combine. Nice.

Also Valve already have budget pc/console it’s called there Steamdeck & rumored Steambox & in the future they’ll likely create a SteamPC fully customizable or pre built Steam os PC optimized for Steam gaming
