Hello IconEra Diablo fans

I thought I would make a post about the massive changes in Diablo 4, season 4.

For those who don't know, itemisation, gear, and levelling will undergo massive reworks for the current season ahead.
Besides a new season theme, there will be many more quality-of-life changes about, with a real focus on endgame systems as well

Many of the streamers I watch have been extremely happy with the changes they have seen so far on the PTR test release. Even the masses on the main Diablo 4 forums, which are normally a beacon of rage, depression and pessimism, are now seemly alive with optimism.

This thread is for fans who want to discuss and will actively play the game going forward.

This thread is a community one, not for people who want to derail it or tell everyone how terrible Diablo is. You are more than welcome to make your own thread for that.

Please be respectful of people in this thread and do not derail with the usual doom-and-gloom spiel.

If there are any players that would like to team up at a party, I normally find myself playing with my good friends @Nobermeijer and @TubzGaming a couple of nights a week.

If you are interested in playing with us, please feel free to drop me a private message either here or on the discord, we can meet up on or off comms for some gaming sessions.

We do play with the European timeline in mind, so some regions might be extremely hard to sync up, just a thought to bear in mind.

The new season starts in a couple of weeks, on the 14th, I believe; I hope to see you all there.

I’ve been playing a Druid and Barb since the beginning, dabbled in chain lightning sorc

Noped out at season 3

Started season 4 as my pulverize Druid, it’s literally my comfort food. Roll into a helltide and this sorcerer rolls up with a 3 prong flame thrower doing 360’s and just burning everything for like 5 minutes. Never running out of mana. It was crazy.

So I immediately logged out, rolled a sorc and went incinerate and holy shit? I just melt….everything. Did the capstone dungeon as if I was a level 60, just completely melt everything.

And uniques? I never got uniques in the past, now I have so many, it’s amazing. Season 4 is great in my book.

I levelled a 100-level necro found the leveling experience pretty good, like you my character felt really powerful, Stopped playing the necro and switched to playing a druid, its a rabies/posion creeper build, its not meta but I really like playing it, its kinda unique and not meta.

I've done around 30 or so Uber bosses with @TubzGaming, but no super unique yet.

I have never been past level 55 in Diablo 4 before, always needed help with the first capstone dungeon.

Well I’m level 60 and just melted everything in wt3 capstone dungeon that is rank 70+

My god incinerate sorc is just so insane. Never ever made it to wt4 before. I feel pretty much unstoppable. I only use ice armor, teleport and incinerate and never run out of mana. I have other skills, I just never need to use them.

Saying that, I have decided to call it quits on this season.

I have a level 100 druid, a 100 Necro and a 96 Sorc, I think.

I also made my Shako,

It's been fun, but it's time to move on to something new.

Really looking to the V-rising game which is not to long away

yer, pretty burnt out with it now, bud, @TubzGaming is still playing, you could always ask him if he wants to party up.

I will be playing it takes two with another friend then hopefully will be getting V-rising around the 11th of june, reviews are meant to be amazing and it has some diablo elements to it.

oo, do you play it co-op?

I want to play at night with friends but I also want to play solo player and build my own castle, am I allowed to do that or does the game mess up progression and saving?

Depends on the server, you can fully solo it and just make it a PVE experience and you go at your own pace.

I was on a PVP server where I had 3 other friends and built a 'base' while you are exploring you could fight other players.

100% just do a PVE coop mode then, PVP isnt always for me either and I would enjoy it more that way with friends

Combat loops cool. Multiple weapons with there own skills and abilities.

To level up you need to track down bosses, and they give you abilities and points for new spells, and the necessary blueprints to improve your base so you can upgrade your gear to take on the next level of bosses.
There multiple biomes on the one map with its own feel and niche environmental hazard.
Base buildings important for you to level up and survive the day cycle. Yes the sun will kill you if you don't stick to the shadows.

There's a function where depending on how pure an random NPC's blood is, the better the stats you get from them.
I never got to the end game yet because I was on a PvP server, and had other things to play so didn't manage to see what that looked like.
PVP however if you want to be on a server like that. There is weekend raids where you can raid other players bases.
