Posting Oliver Darkos X post because I don't have a blusky account.

Jez chimes in and says his steam deck articles get more clicks than anything Xbox related now.

Do you see a future where content creators like Digital Foundry just widely ignore Xbox hardware?

Can’t they start talking about something else that’s more popular? They all can’t like brainless cult followers.

The subsidies received from Redmond didn’t harm them. I imagine when Microsoft pull the plug on this, there is one less platform to focus on. Maybe the vacuum will be filled with more retro stuff.

Once Magnus is announced they’ll go on a frenzy again with the same old tired arguments of how this time is different 🥱
There you go.

I've already seen some really weird contraptions about xbox being "high end" (expensive) and how that would somehow force Sony into adapting their strategy next gen.

This is getting old.

As gamers, we should push for more fun, affordable and regular releases on Sony's behalf. They need to return to 10 - 15 hours games, like in the PS3 era... and release them on a more regular basis.

Look at ND's output for the PS3 generation, overall they had similar total play time:
Uncharted 1, 2, 3 (10 - 12 hour each)
TLoU (~15 hours)
= ~50 hours

PS4:
Uncharted 4 (a bit more than 15 hours)
TLoU 2 (35 hours)
= ~50 hours

TLoU 2 should have been two games, the Ellie and the Abby game, assuming people would have wanted to buy an Abby game.

Uncharted 4 wasn't completely ruined, but as we have seen the Henning scenario apparently made much more sense, and would have allowed for the same set pieces.

Not only would they have made more money, they wouldn't have to deal with people complaining about pricing, and we would have much less time to move on between releases. Seven years between releases is too long for a major studio, I get that they hired a bunch of DEI activists, but this is no reason to take this long to make a game, especially given the fact that everything is so predictable in how their characters will behave now.
