Watched IGN's preview from last week as well as today's previews from JorRaptor, Mr. Matty Plays, SkillUp and XboxEra. All of them were mostly positive especially in the two areas I care about - gameplay/combat and story/characters. I know a lot of people don't like the art style/visuals of the game but it's definitely resonating with me and the setup/structure is similar to God of War where it's region/area based as opposed to open world and has a lot of secrets and hidden mini-bosses to find when exploring. Sounds great, looks great and if the combat system plays as great as every preview I have watched thus far said it does, then Dragon Age The Veilguard could end up being my game of the year. Best of all, I already had my four day weekend off from work request approved so day freaking one for me. Will watch a few more previews from others later today but as of right now, im definitely hyped!!!

I feel that with the really bad first impression of the game, there's a lot of people who are waiting for reviews. That's going to make or break the game, so to speak. As in, how high the commercial floor/ceiling for the game can be.

Yeah, I agree to an extent. I didn't have a problem with the reveal trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase and wasn't positive or negative with it because it wasn't gameplay. It was a CGI/cinematic trailer. Once I saw that 20 minute gameplay walkthrough, yeah, I was in and even more so now.

People need to stop going based on a reveal trailer especially if/when it's not actual gameplay because I care about how the game plays and looks when im playing it as opposed to a CGI/cinematic trailer. Not only that but a lot of trailers are made by external companies as opposed to the actual developer so always better to wait to see gameplay and whatnot before being positive or negative.

Funny the last game got game of the year in 2014. Even if it was a quiet year.
The combat looks better so I wonder what is going wrong?

Mostly people's reaction about the style of the presentation. Sometime it can be just something "shallow" as that.
There's a reason why the adage "first impression is everything" is a true as fuck thing.

Plus you have to remember that this is Bioware.
They're already in the naughty list for gamers since the last major titles we had from them as ME:Andromeda and Anthem.
That and we know that this game was rebooted at least once(the pivot from MP focus to a regular Dragon Age) so there's some concern about how badly this game could be constructed.

When you haven't proven you can do good in more than a decade, you have to nail everything because people are very doubtful. Customers are right to be skeptical until proven otherwise.

PCGamer gave a higher score to the Gollum game than to WH40K Space Marine 2.

IGN made it their agenda to shit on Wukong because there wasn't enough "diversity" on the characters made up of anthropomorphic mystical creatures from Chinese folklore.

Let that sink in.

How is that 100% glute size

thats what ive been saying for a while man, the combat and enviroments seems fine, but is this really enough to keep the studio alive in the porn industry? i think bioware should shift their business to gaming

Luke Stephens said that the combat system plays great like Asassins creed Valhalla. Uh, that shouldn't be a compliment.
