Epic Games lays off roughly 50% of Bandcamp amidst its sale to Songtradr.

The Fortnite maker purchased the music platform just last year but is now spinning it off amid massive cost cutting.

The problem is that Epic is fighting a losing battle, they are trying to take on Steam and nobody on PC (or very few) want that.

They take the freebies and then buy games on Steam....

They need to rethink what their goals are.

Honestly, this is probably them being helpful. Better a layoff with Epic benefits than an equally large layoff with Songtradr (lack of) benefits.
