I really hope Pro has a good upgrade for Space Marines 2
It's a game I want to play but in a better state.

PS5 + Astro Bot optional bundle, having the option of buying the console alone = yesThey should be packing Asto Bot in with every PS5... Horizon got that benefit and it makes much more sense with Astro.
Edit: just adding to this... Especially coming up to Christmas and with families in mind, it makes even more sense.
This is not true at all. Valve released many games since 1995, including multiple Half-Life and Counter-Strike games https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Valve_gamesThat's like us saying there's nothing to play on Steam because Valve didn't release a new Half-life or Counterstrike since 1995. We should start saying it because it's true.
Hardware isn't sitting on shelves, they are market leaders outselling Xbox almost 10:1.To increase the install base maximally before then, so they can have optimal profits from software sales.
Why let hardware sit on shelves?
Again not bad tbh... As long as the numbers are decent so is that better than nothing until it starts hopefully getting better in 2025 etc.!European GSD September 2024 Top 10 (Digital + Physical)

Astro Bot desperately needs a second ad campaign post GOTY.
If it wins GOTY and gets its ad campaign it might hit more serious numbers, otherwise, it will be lucky to hit 7 million units.
You say that like it's a bad thing. This is a high-polished AA game, but still a AA game all the same. It has a budget under $100 million, including marketing. We can infer that much. It's also a new IP to the vast majority, as they probably didn't play the PSVR game and might've even skipped Astro's Playroom since they had other games to play around launch or whatever.
Even if it "only" does 5 million, that's still great for a AA game that's basically a new IP in a genre completely dominated by Mario & Sonic.
PC will grow, just like Consoles will grow. Its up to the Platforms to bing new players and old players to the platformFor Microsoft, not Xbox, and those are both declining markets, so not much of an opportunity
Check how this dweeb tries to frame it in percentages when the reality is PS5 sold 2.6 X the amount of Xbox and Switches combined
Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking.Another reason why Sony should see the PC as a competitor.
Makes sense for Sony to team up with Apple and cut android and windows out of the loop.Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking.
Well there needs to be some actual strategy. Not just.. "putting our games on steam will make money" without thinking of the long-term implications.Makes sense for Sony to team up with Apple and cut android and windows out of the loop.
Maybe a trifecta with steam offering PSN/iOS support
I believe they use PC as a way to fluff numbers for the investors. HD2 was/is hailed as a huge success for playstation, even though 50% of the numbers come from Steam. Would it be as big of a success without the steam numbers?Well there needs to be some actual strategy. Not just..
