Im not saying its perfect or close but it doesnt deserve alot of the criticism. Its a great game.
The main issues I see online from people are:

-“Its not Final Fantasy”: ( They are wrong )

-Battle system: FF battle system hasnt had the usual turned based combat a couple of times now. FF12, FF15 was different combat. Not having Turned based combat doesnt mean its not a FF game.

-FF15 was openworld unlike other FF’s. FF13 was a corridor game. No reason FF16’s world design isn’t a FF game

-FF7,8,10 had very different settings to other FF games. Didnt stop them from beinng Final Fantasy. FF16 settings is closer to classic FF.

-FF has always had loads of cut scenes, fmv’s and parts where you talk for almost an hour etc. So excuses that it has too many cut scenes is BS.

I get alot of Final Fantasy feelings while playing it. Its a Final Fantasy game. Simple.
Almost all the entries had some of the the fanbase complain that the game isn’t FF lol

Nah, the game is barely 3 days old for some people to genuinely review it. This is coordinated. The reviews are one liners and nonsensical.

By that "logic" its not FF if its 3d right? Ff has always been 2d pixel art so it should always stay that way?

I called the second half of this months ago, for what its worth. Thats what the FF fanbase is at this point, willing to dock points for gameplay changes in their always changing series, regardless of whether the actual game is good or not.

Sadly, I can only find my post where I went back on that and said 92-95 from critics.

I think I predicted sub-90 earlier because of bs nontroversies and the internal debate between new and old FF players. But no, I think this one looks good enough to break through. I think it might get a 92 to 95 from outlets.

None of the reasons people give for saying for Final Fantasy16 isnt a real FF game is valid.
Combat, not valid. No open world, not valid at all. Settings not valid. Too many cut scenes, not valid.

I agree. I maybe wrote my point wrong. I think the complaints about Final Fantasy 16 not being a FF game is Nonsense.
Combat, setting, world/level design and cut scenes are fine. I rewrote my comment so that it makes more sense lol

I'm rather picky myself and did not love the demo, just liked it. I didn't get the game in part because FF VII remake's demo was the best, most polished, part of the game... I don't want to feel like they did a bait and switch on me again (it had great reviews too... So I can't count on those to warn me).

What unfolded in the full game? And how would you rate it?

To be clear, I could not care less about the game not "being like an ff game".
