I was hoping this wouldn't be filled with race discussions but I knew it would be here. Only issue I really have is the decision to go with celebrity likenesses instead of original characters,they're always going to be kind of uncanny valley to an extent and it just takes you out of the experience.

I think the discussion has been fairly productive though, and kinda ties with the main character. As for uncanny valley, funny enough I don't think games have got to the point where I personally feel it. And i mean that feeling of "this looks like a person, I can't say it's not a person, but something's off"

I prefer when they're just kinda realistic but still fake people like Red Dead 2 despite what people say is still stylized to a degree.

It works when the graphics engine is up to par, like Horizon and Death Stranding using the decima. Square Enix isn’t there, they really don’t have experience motion capturing realistic human faces

yeah I think it's also a personal thing. Some of the best faces in games (TLOU II, Death Stranding) were incredible but did not cause me any uncanny valley feeling. However my GF felt that.

TLOU 2 is kinda stylized. DS is one of those that do have uncanny valley moments but overall its pretty good.

From what I last saw the game looked chuggy and had some fps issues. So glad its been delayed.
The concept looks ok, so will pick this up if there isn’t much technical issues

Wtf are publishers so scared to release within same month as different game?!
I can buy more games.... Look at 2011? we had like 1 million games release. Plenty same month too.
Now, these games are so expensive, that they need 3 months starve window to release it... not to risk it

I'm hopeful. I'd like it to hit low 80's at least and I'd be happy to support it. I like the main character in general, just a few lines of dialog felt a bit....weird.

Magic looked cool to me.

Its pretty much the only AAA JRPG coming out not named final fantasy. Plus it has cool looking traversal

Probably should get delayed again if February/March end up packed because this game needs a month to itself in my opinion. Hoping they take the time to fix up the frame rate, fill out the world as it looks empty as hell and get rid of those stupid streak lines or whatever the hell they're called that's behind Frey as she's running. With that all said, I am curious to see how this game ends up as I do like the combat in the game.

That's fine but I hope they add an on/off option because watching gameplay, I found it distracting and annoying.
