It's the lack of a refined ambient occlusion that makes it look like that. Most games use GI light probes for indirect lighting.. so when you get a character or asset that's in shadow already, all the direct lighting and shading chooses the GI light probes for it's illumination. If there is a very inaccurate or not a big enough approximation to items self-occluding each other, you get that constant color washed out look. This destroys many games' looks. Ambient occlusion, done properly, would make all of that go away and you'd get the correct amount of shadowing in these areas. There are only a handful of games (RDR2, FS2020, Sekiro, Plague Tale:Requiem) that come to the top of my mind that uses AO liberally.
i hope, the game won't tank. this is something unique. i hope they deliver at least medium story because, gameplay and traversal can carry this game far.
Why bother continuing to market a delayed product when you can hold off til the release is imminent? You don't want the advertising to lose impact by becoming background noise, it would be a total waste of resources.Day 1 for me. Already pre-ordered it physically, half-paid with credit.

The marketing is very quiet right now. Sony needs to include it in the next SOP imo. It's like they dropped it after the delay and forgot about it.
