It was way more contrasty in the initial demo. Looked really weird. Even demo was patched.

I don't get it. The game is fantastic. Looks great, plays great, characters are very endearing and story is interesting. I couldn't put it down today...
And it's some of best HDR I've seen yet. The screenshot moved from PS5 look almost monotone in comparison to playing on lg c1 with HGIG. It's so vibrant.
So take notice that these shots are converted to SDR and 1mb each....
And take notice at first two shots. I've purposefully taken shots of random kid and npc to compare with the "haha look at the bad kid models" shot floating around.
Did about 4 hours this evening and I am genuinely loving this game. I don't understand where the hate is coming from. I think I am on chapter 5 or 6.
I am pretty deep or almost finished with the first open area and I am having a blast.
Like seriously... I am not projecting here. The game is really good. It's like a mix of crackdown and infamous 2nd son.,
-The game is BEUTIFUL and has fantastic HDR. It is much more monotone in screenshots than it is when I play it. I play on lg c1, so HDR is really good of course. But the vibrancy and detail of the world is great.
-Why is the game so heavy? What about volumetric fog and cloud shadowing? or very highly detailed models? or long view distance? The weather changes dynamically as fog sweeps in or out. It is really impressive. I am constantly stopping to take screenshots.
-The combat is pretty engaging and very cool looking. Some enemies can be challenging. But so far I am mostly using the machine gun spell and support spells.
-I don't mind the banter. It's actually pretty fun to have some comments in open world. I like the dynamic.
-The movement is great. Parkour is just very satisfyng
-Music is so good. The safe house theme, the exploration music especially in first open world area. Love it.
-The characters are very well voiced and acted. Story and cutscenes are engaging.
People are way to harsh on it. The game has about the right amount of stuff to do in the open world, graphics are good, audio is good, plays good. I can see it getting repetitive sure. And the performance is CRAP with a lot of slowdowns (quality 40mode)
Remember the screenshots with terrible looking kids and npcs?! Yeah, right.... Look at these random NPCs.

Nevertheless, I'm only at the beginning of chapter 3, so not really far into the game to pass judgment. What I played, I enjoyed.
xbots moved from Forspoken Reddit, so there is a lot of positive vibes. and you can talk with normal people.

This is quite a polarizing game I tell ya. On one hand, the professional reviewers/influencers/woke and anti-woke dumbasses said this game is trash. on the other hand, regular-ass gamers are having fun.
Ultimately this is still a wait-for-a-sale game since there are other games I want on the horizon. MC scores aren't everything.

I should give HGIG a chance again, especially with this game. Maybe it's being supported better now.
Imagine if this was GP game.

I've got it in march 2021 for 1200 but it was a preorder.
