Yesterday happened a massive leak of Game Freak… like that one happened with Insomniac in the past.

Switch 2’s do rename is confirmed to be Ounces.

Yeah I'm just gonna avoid this like the plague. After the Insomniac ransomware hack I've just been thinking...if we end up talking about this stuff at length isn't that just rewarding and encouraging these hackers? Plus these types of hacks usually end up violating the private information of employees. Big no-no.

Not to mention, they take the wind out of official announcements. So it's harder to get excited from official reveals because these leaks spoil the surprise. Or even worst, like with most of these insiders, they hype up stuff ahead of time just so you can be disappointed later, when things are actually revealed.

These hacks release the data because the company didn’t pay them… it has nothing to do with attention.

And to be fair companies should not pay anything at all.

Maybe between Insomniac, Game Freak, etc leaks there are others that we didn’t know that the company paid so nothing got leaked.
Who knows? Because things only go public when the company didn’t pay and hackers release the data.

It is like what happened with Insomniac and Game Freak is an example when you don’t pay everything go public.

I've been through some and a lot of interesting (and wild) stuff, mostly looked at early gen stuff. Like concept art, UI's, ''meeting minutes'' etc.
Worse for them is leaks of movie plots like for Detective Pikachu 2 and not announced films & series including upcoming Netflix live-adaptation.

Basically for games the obvious Gen 10 (alleged K&N) game in the works which confirms cross-gen period with the Switch 1.
A multiplayer partnered project and the already announced Z-A Legends (was originally planned for 2024)

This was huge.. It seems that gamefreak had everything stored in one place. They got source codes, cut content, info about upcoming games, internal communications, lore discussion and work and documents.. hell, the got the original pitch document for the 3rd generation! Looks like even private/personal work/ideas people were working on or pushing.
