Amazon also laid off 18,000 people a few days ago.

Sony doesn't have anywhere close to the total global workforce any of those 3 companies has.

Also FYI since it was brought up, Sony has been steadily reducing its global workforce as well over the years, just not in single bit lurches like what's happened now, so it hasn't made mass media news as such. The difference is they didn't go through a period of mass-hiring during the pandemic years like MS, Amazon etc did (MS's work force increased nearly 100K between 2019 and 2023 for example).

This is just meant to be interesting statistical info, please don't turn this into fanboy fodder y'all.
