Pretty sure PS+ isn't required for HD2

I tried to play it and could not back out of the PlayStation Plus screen to get into the game. So after 10 minutes trying and quitting/restarting the game, I said screw it, if I already paid $40, what's another $10?

why not play with randos, the game is not that good solo

Simply prefer to play at my own pace. I enjoyed the game solo. I loved The Division 1/2 and Outriders. Granted, Helldivers 2 is definitely more focused towards co-op than solo play but still, I enjoyed it for 6+ hours. Was close to level 6 character wise. I wouldn't have played it that long if I wasn't enjoying the game.

I finished both D1 and D2 at hard/challenging solo. This game is another beast. At least you need to level up until 20 to have a railgun and other goodies to be able to try it solo. I prefer playing The Division 1/2 solo and I close my party to not let anyone join and enjoy exploring everything. The experience here on HD2 is pretty straightforward and not much lore around to miss.

I completed Division 1 and 2 on hard difficulty but could never beat challenging. I agree that Helldivers 2 is on another level. I will get back to playing it this Spring/Summer when there's an empty month for me with no new games to play and I realize that I have to level up and get better weapons/upgrades/stragems. I know there's mini locations on the map with ammo, samples, etc. but otherwise, it's mainly just go after the primary/secondary objectives and extract outta there. lol

I love Division especially 2 and im still waiting for Heartland because im guessing Division 3 will be a next generation title so years away.

I love The Division franchise myself although I despise its RPG approach instead of realism. I loved exploring every corner of the game and see the untold stories.

Purchased Helldivers 2 digitally for PlayStation 5 and signed up for a month of PlayStation Plus since it’s required to play the game.

Played 6+ hours and it’s really good. Love the combat and shooting but holy hell, is the game hard playing solo. I thought that maybe I could get to level 2 or 3 (out of the 10 difficulty levels there is) but I can’t get past level 2 which is easy. lol

The insects are a lot easier than the automatons which can slaughter you pretty quickly. It’s definitely very addictive because I didn’t want to stop playing.

I have some minor nitpicks which I have in every game but it’s definitely challenging, intense and a lot of fun to play. Will go back to it once I get through all my other games and should tide me over until I get an actual pure shooter in Division Heartland or perhaps something else.
Glad you enjoying it and spot on, insects are easier overall.

I actually liked and enjoyed the RPG approach mainly because if it was more straight forward, the game would have been smaller, shorter and not as big as it currently is franchise wise. Agree with the exploration and whatnot.

Thanks. And yeah, the insects are way easier because they don't shoot me from a mile away. lol

So people just hosting quick play sessions completing all objectives and then leaving before extraction a thing? Did they take all the mats with them? Like wtf did I just experience?

Maybe their game crashed in the middle of a mission as happened a lot to me in PS5 in the last few days.
