It is abysmal, but it’s what is expected from this kind of game. It was never going to put the world on fire.

I though MS was spaming 10 years contracts on everybody mail and got mad at these that didn't signed it.It would do well on all other devices, but MS is playing the exclusivity game.
Forspoken sales + the demo on PC and PS5 should beat that easy. We're talking player numbers here so the vast majority of Hi-fi players dropped it after 30 minutes. Same as a demo so it's a fair comparison.
They are coping by calling it a small AA with no marketing "2 millions is good". It's really not. They always have a narrative ready to go.
If they can't understand the game is available to all Gamepass users that makes these 2 million players very tiny...
It should be great for a AA game with 2 million players if it was not in a subscroption plan with over 20 million users.

This isn’t just Gamepass numbers on Xbox and PC but includes Steam and Epic games sales which makes it even more pathetic.
And streaming on tablets, phones and TVs. 2 billions screens. The future of gaming.
It indeed deserves and in this case I think it is really a good game.

Returnal is another good game that didn’t reached that success.
The thing is, it is a good game. Just not a great game. It's something that's solid, runs well, looks good, and has a decent enough story. But we get dozens of these types of game every year.

Conceptually EW1 is a great game but the technical issues and other hurdles keep it from being great. TEW2 improved most of these issues for me tho and I like it a lot more than the first one.

While refined mechanically, EW2 just didn't have the atmosphere like 1 did, felt way more gamey. And no burning bodies to stay dead was a step back gameplay wise somehow.
