At the time someone found a couple of scene releases and these track how many total downloads. There was a single scene release that had something like 1M downloads.
I dont agree. the game will still sell a lot and make the money spent on a port back.
The whole point is making money and while I dont think single player games should be day and date, something like horizon that already had its rounds on console coming to pc can only be a good thing
That is quite literally what happens to any game that does not have any anti-piracy, because there are people who are paid to crack.
It does not mean that you should stop giving it to people who actually buy on Steam. You should just add anti-piracy methods. It's mindblowing that denuvo is the most used and it tears performance apart.

Anti piracy is dumb. Those who are going to pirate it will pirate it. No point in spending billions on dumb software that punishes legitimate owners.
I doubt that many people are actually using this. The bigger problem for Sony and other publishers is the number of people who wait for sales and cheap key sites.
