Consider 1 week is 5 working days.
Convert roughly to $ and calculate. We don't want to know how much you earn(Display votes publicly disabled).
I am just curious to see how long does it take for people to earn 700$.
Net, no tax. On hand pay.
Also, I am not asking how much can you save. Just how long would it take to earn that much without other expenses.

What country you are in and will you be buying the pro at that price.

I will start.
>1 week, Poland.
I am buying it.

If you were alive for other consoles at launch, ps4, ps4 pro, 360 or ps3... and remember how long it took to earn this much back then, please share.
I remember 360 took me... like a month of work to earn that much but it was my first work and Poland was still even more of a post communist hole than now.

$700 is like R$4000.

Well around 5 working days without counting bonuses.

I'm not buying it and price was not the issue for me.

I had a cooworker from brazil and I remember he was paid 1:1 in pln and reais since the currencies were aboujt the same.
4000 brazilians is 2700 goldens

Yeap... Real depreciated a lot compared to Dollar.
I believe the last time Dolar was below 4 reais was in 2018/2019.
From there it was always over 5 reais.

Less than a week.
Germany.
Unless the stars aligns (Sony publicly announces stopping PC ports AND I find a buyer for my launch day console without searching for one/there is some kind of trade-in program), I don't intend to get one.

Just a point here... @rofif I should be a bit more clear.

I made the math using the direct conversion Dollar > Real.
But if you look at the market price...

R$4000 is the PS5 actual price :D :D :D

So depending how much in over that in Brazil maybe I can need over a week of work.
For example.... R$6000, R$8000.... hell R$10000 I will need over 2 weeks of work without bonuses.

PS. Others Brazilians here can feel the pain.

Yesterday I had some doubts even though I was gonna buy it eventually.

Today as the dust has settled it is Day 1.

Gonna buy the Disc drive beforehand.

Money is not an issue.

I make it in approx 13 hours of work. So in a day and a half.

My biggest issue is that I can't give Sony the money right now.

Honestly if you live in the USA even with a shitty job that pays less then $15/hr you can reasonably save up for one. Folks act like Sony came out and said it's $2500. Even then idk why that can't be an option.... as I would love to have an absurdly powerful PS
