I feel like Gamepass evangelization has lowered since PS+ Was revamped

Flight Sim, Halo, Psychonauts, Forza, Deathloop. Pretty good year. Not even including PC.

Idk what you mean by Returnal winning all the “major awards”. I know Resetera used to have a tracker thread and last I saw in it, Returnal was beaten by three or four of those MS games I listed above and also It Takes Two. Maybe that changed, idk or care.

Deathloop is Bethesda and it was pretty much done when MS bought them. Same for Ghostwire Tokyo, Starfield, Wolfenstein 3, Doom etc. Those will never count for MS because they had fuck all to do with any of them getting made. It will be the same with COD.

FlightSim is 2020 so if you want to add ports then you have to add Ghost Of Tsushima and Death Stranding DC to Sony 2021 (87% and 85% on meta)

They just need to keep the momentum going through out the year. Sony had a bad habit with psplus and psnow where they had a month which was good and then months of meh games.

Evern though extra is where the meat of the service is, i feel like ps1/ps2/psp classics could really help move the conversation to ps plus. Wouldn't be suprised if gamepass is bleeding subscribers this year.

I know, but I think overall it just puts a damper on MS after putting so much effort into being the number 1 Sub service And it changing the industry.

You know what would be fair and help with this comparison? For MS to make the numbers of Live Gold public instead of hiding it.

Sony made even the embarrassing low PSNow numbers public on their financials, when you are ahead there is no need to hide or spin anything. No need for easily abusable $1 trials/conversions either.

Ok then we have to thank Sony for Destiny 1 and 2 and Halo 1, 2, 3 and Reach. Once you buy a company you get the full credit for everything they ever done. Got it.

Last number was 25 million for Gamepass… we don’t know how many XBLG has.

The reality was....They were just jelly.

One thing I'll give PSN+S implementation is that it at least has games people want to play. Gamepass is literal trash ontop of trash. Theres not a single Returnal level quality game on GP

Ps+ is not being given away for $1 dollar deals. I'm sure sony could inflate those numbers with unreliable subscribers if they did the same.

I highly doubt gamepass has retained those numbers you are using. This year will be the year where they lose a alot of subscribers.

Those small indie games are already cheap to begin with so getting them on a sub is not a good deal. The hype on GP was all about the Day 1 AAA.

If you want no-name indies and simulators you can get better ones on a random charity bundle or on Fanatical.

AAA publishers abandonned GP after Square screwed up with Outriders. Activision also never supported it.

What happened with Outsiders and GP exactly, and the fallout?

How is the game itself? I was interested in it pre release and just blanked it out through a horrific breakup year. Worth looking back into now or is it already dead?
