MS hides the numbers because they are ashamed and here you are making excuses for them. XBLG numbers must be putrid at this point given that it's by far the worst deal in gaming (well, if we don't count the Series storage expansion or the Series S itself).
Not to mention how little effort Sony puts into their services in comparison, Sony ain't going around spenging $80B+ to put games in their service just to then offer a $1 trial that never ends or a 1$ conversions you can abuse.
On a side note when I log onto my gaming tablet (z13 flow), I keep getting free months added to my sub. Dunno whats triggering it but already subbed to 9/23. My sub originally was out in 2/23
There's plenty of people who just want to play their FIFA, NBA, NFL and CoD and need XBLG for that. That's why the big outrage happened back when Microsoft tried to increase the price of XBLG."Estimates"

MS doesn't hide the numbers btw, they're just part of the big boi crew who doesn't need to publish any detailed numbers (see also: Apple, Tencent, Google...). Sony is one or two tiers below that crew, obviously. Not to mention that Sony hides numbers they don't like. Only Nintendo is fully transparent.
Probably like old magazines, they are trying to find ways to make you more likely to keep the registration so you end up being a paying customer (also, they made more money with advertisers if they printed out more copies). It could be a way to keep the number of active users up.
Either way, enjoy it while it lasts, because this is not sustainable.
This is because the "big boi" are cooking numbers, they're hiding factual information behind a wall of useless metrics.
I doubt ill keep ultimate going, only have PC now so kinda a waste for me. That's if I keep it at all.

Halo Infinite is a great, if flawed, game. I also never claimed that MS will dominate anything. You sound scared for some reason.
