If you're an Xbox owner right now and the base PS5 doesn't entice you, why would the Pro? Assessing the value proposition from that angle is lunacy. Xbox isn't better at anything and no one wants their pauper-ass users. It's the garbage can of consoles.
Compared to the base PS5, the Pro offers better image quality, better resolution, doubled or more fps depeending on fps caps, better RT, 2TB SSD, wifi 7 and (in select games) 8K gaming support.
And well, like in base PS5 they'd also get access to a ton of great console exclusives, a game subscription with a bigger and better catalog, a better gamepad and a better cloud gaming system and cloud gaming catalog. I assume these are the reasons of why PS is eating Xbox marketshare for breakfast.
Pro consoles never went meant for mass market. They are for tech whores with money and expensive tvs who want better visuals and don't want to wait 4 years more for the next gen. PS4 Pro only sold 15% of the total PS4 units. And make sure many of these players also had a normal PS4 before.

I don’t think PS is trying to sell this to Xbox owners. This is for existing PS5 hardcore enthusiasts to upgrade if they want.
If Ryan Mcaffrey had half the amount of criticism for Microsoft that he has for Sony, he'd be a pretty dang good journalist. He doesn't though, so instead we get him pulling excuses from as deep as he can reach in his colon while finding any reason he can to criticize Sony.
I need to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 at one point. I’m getting it for the Pro.
And new buyers/ people buying there first console/ gaming device. Remember when we had our first jobs etc or saved up enough for the next console/or buying a first PC.
Sony now have a more powerful choice as a console or people go high end pc if a bigger budget allows them. Before there was no “inbetween”
