That argument makes zero sense. Why do all of that to their brand image just to catch some leakers? Not to mention their strategy seems to be to use controlled leaks concerning upcoming projects from folks like Jez and Grubb to hype up Xbox as a sort of viral marketing campaign.

day 1 pc ports wont kill anything. Their is no other high end console with xbox throwing in the towel.
day 1 pc ports for their big titles would boost sales considerably. 2 years for ports kill the sales. Playstation is always looking to gain more money even with record breaking profits. It never stops.

Don't worry, they'll be making record breaking profits once the Xbox faithful have no choice but to switch. No need for PC. In fact, that initiative can be wound down and the porting costs + exclusivity payments can now be put into even more 1st party games for PlayStation!

No.It means they negotiate parts for cheaper and make higher margins from sales. If its only their box in store there will never have shortages. Their suppliers won't be happy because they have no choice to deal with PS. PS make more money as there will be more PSN users.
