Because 95% of them are a shitshow. RDR2 being the perfect example. A game so stripped of value that in order to get something, you're railroaded into buying expensive gold or spend hours grinding for the simplest of items.

GaaS are designed specifically to sell you stuff. Often low quality BS you need to pay real money for or spend hours getting it through gameplay.

I enjoyed the story coop missions in RDR2. I think Rockstar just focusing on GTA online too much and didnt give it the same love. I dont think Sony will give you low quality with ND Developing.

Some people like grinding in online games for hours or years, MMO’s being one of them, just like some people like spending hours grind in JRPG’s
