Jesus, Switch is really just dominating there on the software (& hardware) side. I'd be interested to know the numbers with sources like Amazon Japan included, though.

Given that, crazy to see a PS game chart in the Top 10, for GT7. That game's going to have some long legs, just like the previous GT entries. Also it looks like PS5 shipments to Japan are definitely improving, that might be their biggest single week's worth of sales since the launch period.

It looks like Xbox Series numbers are either stabilizing in the region, or getting a bit more supply-constrained. It could honestly be either but I'm slightly leaning towards the former, if some other patterns WRT pricing of systems in a few Western territories signal anything. Wonder if anyone knows what the retail selling prices for Xbox consoles are at Japanese stores (or on Amazon Japan) at current?

I think GT7 is being bundled in Japan. Kinda sucks that thats the only Japanese first party game Sony has at the moment. I’m Sure they would love to bundle something like Elden Ring instead.

This is why Team Asobi will be important in the future for Sony.

Do the Famitsu charts count bundles? Found out recently that NPD doesn't count certain types of bundles, just wondering if Famitsu has a similar thing.

I'm curious if Sony could work out a deal with Bandai-Namco to bundle in Elden Ring at some point. The bundle could cover the cost of the game, similar to how the HFW bundles more or less do it. I guess it would just come down to what price the two sides could negotiate.
