The fact that it's going to take all the way to FY25 to get to the same level of spending that they had on traditional games in FY19 makes me want to set my PS on fire.
They clearly don't value the truly appealing things that they have going on. If Sony starts making Ubisoft/Fortnite/Xbox like games they might as well go the way of Sega as far as I'm concerned.
I think that is the general sentiment, he is friendly with Mooch and Brap and I like their live shows... so I have not written the guy off or anything. His leaks are usually fairly accurate too...
I don't think Grubb is a shill insofar as being a paid influencer, but he hangs out with a lot of xbox dudes. Imo he is just a clout chaser and the social media clout is dominated by xbox and pc dudes.
Yup and even Jaffe leans into it too much for my taste but I still like him a lot.
I understand the business sense in being soft to a certain crowd.
Nothing gets more views than shitting or even just ignoring Xbox and focusing on popular games. Xbox channels are the ones that are so starved that they need ABK deal, rumors and promises to survive.
It seems shitting on Sony at the minute is the flavour of the week though. It changes depending on how angry fanboys get.
If they deserve it I'm all for it and based on the recent Showcase and presentations they need a wake up call.
Horizon 3 will be next, probably. And my guess is that it will complete the story.

The push is factual, a fact:
Obviously a great number of fanboys can't picture how those numbers translate into games down the line. They need to see and feel it near term - they can't see it long term - consumer myopia. Even though they just got but a small taste at this showcase and look at the reaction.
The brand is changing and will change - it will no longer be what it's today - a fact.
Thus the argument becomes whether that change will be successful or not business wise and NOT whether it's real or not. And so it boils down to; regardless of success or failure business wise, whether you personally will be happy, whether you endorse this push and if you're OK living with that change.
If you're not happy, well, the time window for you to act, scream or whatever you deem is appropriate for you to protest and show your discontent/nonformity is extremely small and closing faster each day that passes. Conformity is not a solution. It's what it's.
