GamesRD - 10/10

This is just another port that enriches the library of PC gamers with its excellent graphics, evolved gameplay and an outstanding optimization. It is a worthy mini sequel to the original game that was underappreciated by the community with its interesting story and quite engaging narrative.
TouchArcade - 10/10
If you’ve not played Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales before, the PC version is an easy recommendation on Steam Deck. Miles Morales is a tighter and more focused take on the formula than the original game with better combat and a brilliant use of licensed music. The story is perfect to experience during the holiday season as well. It has been about two years since its PlayStation debut, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has aged brilliantly. It is yet another ‘perfect on Steam Deck’ experience from Sony.
God is a Geek - 9.5/10.0
Yet again, Miles Morales on Steam Deck and PC is another PlayStation triumph, with the only real negative the fact that it has longer loading times than on PS5.
GamingTrend - 9.0/10.0
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a triumph of a game, and now even more people can experience it. That experience may not be as stable as on PlayStation 5 given the diversity of hardware, however there’s also a lot more under the hood than you’d get on a console. With all of that in tow, including gorgeous ray tracing and a glut of accessibility options, it’s like Miles getting Venom abilities: more power to an already powerful entity. Just like Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered before it, Miles Morales makes the leap and sticks to the wall.
GameSpew - 9.0/10.0
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a brilliant game when it launched in 2020, and it remains so now. Its origins as a standalone expansion means it’s noticeably shorter than Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, but it has a more enjoyable story and improved gameplay. It makes swinging through the streets of New York City, combating crime as you go, an utter delight. And this PC port is pretty much flawless.
GamingBolt - 9.0110.0
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, in acting as a short middle chapter between Marvel’s Spider-Man and its upcoming sequel, doesn’t really have the luxury to introduce radical new concepts that might turn the game on its head. Rather, it’s a fun, short romp through New York once again, but this time as a new protagonist. Its tightly-paced plot tells a great coming of age story for a new Spider-Man, and its greatest strength is the fun ensemble cast.
Dexerto - 8.0/10.0
If you're a fan of Insomniac's original Spider-Man outing, or just want a thinner experience than the main game, you can do worse than Miles Morales. The PC port is outstanding in a lot of different ways, and yes, if you're on Steam Deck, you'll have a great time too.

So wait, the PS5 version gets an 85, the PC version gets a 92? I'll pretend to be surprised 🤡
It will drop... probably around the same as PS5 that is strong than most remasters/ports get.

Edit - It will drop if it gets enough reviews... with that low amount I don't know.

Why would you want less people to get to experience games that you appreciate?
Why would you want developers to earn less revenue and mindshare to put towards future projects?

Because Sony make most of their money from the platform, they make barely anything from 1st party games... so the priority should be adding users and building a unique portfolio of games, similar to how PS4 had a strong generational portfolio that sold the console to even some of the strongest PC gamers.

PlayStation is a hardware platform first and foremost, it is even in the name 'Play' - 'Station'. Either they put the console first and expanding the base of users or else the whole thing will not work anymore.

If they didn't have a hardware platform, games like the ones they make simply wouldn't be viable.

Also in terms of investors, Sony's entire stock jumped based on hardware forecasts being optimistic.... not on software, no investor gives a toss about anything except how many consoles they get installed. They are not waiting on how many units GOW or Spider-man sold, they are waiting on how many million consoles they sold each quarter and how they can top the last gen.

I assume that the forecasts that really interest investors are the revenue, profit and growth ones. They saw that Sony posted great revenue and profit numbers that are in a growing trends, and that they are growing and investing in multiple existing and new areas to grow even more, which means bigger future revenues and profits, so higher stock value.

Their platform does a great number and performs better than ever did in everything (selling hardware temporally no, but it will do soon once they solve the chips shortage issue), and they are investing on their platform and in games for it more than they ever did before and will continue growing these investments.

But even if their platform continues growing, it represents a small portion of the total gaming market so even if they continue investing more than ever did on it, on top of that and without negatively affecting it there is the opportunity on investing to get money from other platforms either if it's porting part of their own stuff to pc, making mobile games or acquiring or investing on key multiplatform publishers or developers.

SIE just posted the biggest revenues from a console maker ever seen in a Q2 and the biggest revenue from a console maker game subscription to mention a couple of numbers. The more money they make from any sources, the more money they'll have to invest on their own platform including games for it(which is their top priority and focus according to the most recent words of both Jim Ryan when announcing the Q2 results and Hermen on his most recent interview).

It's because of the number of reviews. The PC had only a few ones, and now has 21 reviews in MC and a 88 score. The PS5 version has 89 reviews and 85 score. The more reviews for a platform, more chances to get a dumb review with a stupidly low score.

I assume that the reason behind lower amount of PC reviews it's because it has been released on a very busy period and eviewers have been busy with games like Bayonetta 3, God of War Ragnarok or Pokemon during these weeks and didn't have time to play everything, so I assume they prioritized new games over ports.

I just read the description on Steam's page. Did they have RT shadows in the PS version of this game?

RT shadows look sweet
This will be an excellent example for future conversations when comparing what the developers can do with the consoles and what they can do with higher-end hardware. They added in features that weren't in the original game on PS even though the game was meant for the PS. This shows that graphics features don't have to be "held back" by lower end hardware just because they design the game for it.

"It's great to see a developer unconstrained by the consoles, delivering serious upgrades over an already impressive PlayStation 5 release. As such, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC comes highly recommended"
