You're gonna love it. the Archetype system is fun to toy with.. Also love how you can over level them into items that give exp to different types. Allows you to keep a consistent synergy until the Archetype is at adequate level.I need to buy it.
But the demo was pretty good.
The fact you can choose Archetypes jobs to all party members is really a game changer.
Gimme like a month or so to get on this. I just finished up a full franchise playthrough of Final Fantasy, and needed to take a bit of a JRPG break after that 950+ hour project.Deadass none of you playing this? Bouto start questioning icons taste attp
FFV was probably the best job implementation of the series. Except, comically, FFX-2 for some reason. I was a bit disappointed they'd moved away from it as the games progressed.First hour impressions: It's nice to see Atlus doing a completely new IP and it's definitely a step up from Soul Hackers 2. But I think P3 Reload is a lot better looking visually, and the start is a little boring and too similar to Persona 5. Music, UI design, and character design are peak though and I'm curious to see what this whole job system I'm hearing about is like because FF5's job system rocked and gave a lot of customization options and freedom.
For me FFT has the best Job System... that very much inspired by FFV.FFV was probably the best job implementation of the series. Except, comically, FFX-2 for some reason. I was a bit disappointed they'd moved away from it as the games progressed.
I hadn't even heard Metaphor had a job system! That's very interesting!
Looks great! Seems like a good amount of RPG depth to this one.For FFT has the best Job System that very much inspired by FFV.
BTW the actual full name of Archetypes System is Archetypes Job System.
It is a classic Job system.
Example of one job grid.
At 25 hours in, if you aren't hooked yet maybe it isn't for you.I've admittedly never played any Persona games, but I jumped into this after seeing the crazy high scores. I'm about 25 hours in and I feel like I'm at the verge of putting it on hold indefinitely. I like the combat system well enough, but not so much that it keeps me hooked. The dungeons seem quite cut and paste even early on. I'm not really feeling the story and none of the characters are interesting to me. Also, isn't this a big budget game that's been in the works for a long time? Why isn't there voice acting outside of big cut scenes? I'm not trying to be a hater, but as a newbie to modern Atlus games Metaphor feels much more like an 85MC type game rather than a 94. I dunno, maybe Atlus JRPGs just don't jive with me?
