Seems like MS reached an agreement with CMA to back to disccuss remedies.
So now MS can show more remedies to cover CMA concerns.

Basically CMA back one step and MS can now try to remeies these concerns again... let's see what new commitement MS will show.

Hmmmmmm? I thought Microsoft and Activision were precluded from transactions for 10 years? (little familiarity with British law here, sorry)

Anyways, glad to see that these cases might finally be ending and that justice has prevailed.
You gotta be a MG fan with a username and title like that.

The judge was 100% corrupted and made sure MS could close before the deadline. That was the most important thing for her. Complete disregard for regulators.
FTC needs a retrial, no idea why they ever let her stay as judge in the first place.

Seems like the deal is close to being over. Man, that story has been holding gaming industry news in a chokehold for over a year.

Not a fan. The less first party studios the better. Hopefully this doesn't escalate any further

PS has a large enough stable they don't need to panic, but if I was Jim Ryan, I'd be scrambling to lock up Rockstar. If only because MS might get it otherwise. Who knows where this ends.

Court is an integrated part of a well established "democratic" country. The court is part of the system. It can't be an isolated case of corruption. USA is at its peak, corruption and collapse are imminent.

This isn't the CMA caving. If Microsoft communicated their willingness to reconsider the CMA's proposed remedies, the CMA would be extremely foolish to ignore that discussion. This is more a story about Microsoft acknowledging the CMA's unique muscle and power. They are no pushovers.

The CMA was always open to remedial action. Nothing has changed. In the case of Microsoft vs. CMA, it's Microsoft who have blinked first. The question now is, how far are Microsoft willing to compromise in order to satisfy the CMA's expressed concerns.

My personal hope is that Microsoft remain arrogant and find the remedies unacceptable, and the CMA stand firm.

The real question is, does MS has experience in management of that so many studios?
Sooner or later MS will want their investment to pay off.

And looking at how they are managing their studios, I think things will not go well for MS.
