yup 2021, pre alpha
I knew it wasn't before as I never heard of Redfall prior to the unveiling. That was a guess
yup 2021, pre alpha
There's so much riding on that game that it for sure will fail to meet expectations.Evidence is mounting up to Starfield being shit too, we'll see. Is Starfield too big to fail?
played 4 out of the five to level 25, barb i skipped out on.A little, only because Necro was so much fun lol

-Wizard was absolutely amazing, 10/10
-Necro was solid, +fun to play, although it felt a bit samy towards the end of level 25 8.5/10
-Rogue, the first play-through, i had terrible skills and shit gear, second full respec into shadow was extremely powerful in nuking down mobs and bosses, 7/10-good fun
-Druid was painful, i mean shockingly bad, 2/10. terrible mana regen system, pet damage was no existent, slow as hell. They have addressed that though in a later patch, meant to be good now.
Rogue really seems dependent on legendaries, the sorc felt like i did not even need them, and rogue feels like a completely different class if you get one, the problem is you need to get something early for the class to be fun imoI am pretty much the same.
barb I lost interest in quickly. rogue I had trouble with at the start too, maybe they need to adjust them for the first few levels?
Why is there always an excuse? Why do Xbox always eventually get away with these things and their customers just never move?
That's what I don't get.
If there was a game that just needs to be pushed out, it is Suicide Squad...they need to cut their losses. It won't be a hit.
People also seem to have no idea what the game is (even after is was shown), go to the game sub Reddit and it looks like a bunch of people talking about an imaginary game that will be everything at the same time. There's so much riding on that game that it for sure will fail to meet expectations.
People have this grand vision of it being 'lightning in a bottle Skyrim in space', when it most likely will be Fallout 4/76 with a space skin.
It's a new IP. That alone will damper it's impact. Then you have the fact that the reveal trailer barely tracked on Youtube, while games like Ragnarok and Tears of the Kingdom have incredible views.
Time will tell, but I pity anyone hoping for that game to be a masterpiece.
If Microsoft didn't believe in Redfall then why did they have it as their 'one more thing' closer for E3 2021? And then the following summer, they started their showcase with a trailer for it!
Nah, I don't buy it. I think the folks running Xbox were genuinely excited for it at some stage. They probably didn't realise how shit it was until late in development.
If what someone on gaf is saying comes true, then holy shit 2023 is not going to be great for xbox.
2024 Needs to have nothing but bangers like one after another. And I feel the only games that can move the needle are Fable which is way off, Avowed which restarted in 2021.
He also promises the cheque is in the mail.Because Phil Spencer promised "next year will be better"
Translation:
Having the chance to have in my clientele a lot of devs from Arkane Lyon, that's what comes out of it. Ms didn't really believe in redfall and seems to have wanted to finish development quickly. Arkane Lyon is working on a much more ambitious game I don't know more.
Fucking Great Management there Microsoft
Gonna be blunt, I don't think media outlets would LET Starfield fail. They've all been trumpeting this as one of the most anticipated games of the last DECADE and a guaranteed GOTY contender. After this Redfall debacle. and how many of them have egg on their faces after the glowing previews they handed out like candy, not sure they could handle that. That's what you get when you don't have the balls to cancel a game when it looks like shit early on.
Evidence is mounting up to Starfield being shit too, we'll see. Is Starfield too big to fail?
Reviewers seem to not care about performance at all, except for Days Gone and TLoU Part I PC every game with terrible performance I can think of got great reviews including Cyberpunk, Skyrim, Jedi Survivor, Elden Ring and so on.StarField at best is getting 80s at MC/OC.
That game is coming in sizzling hot.
