Another very interesting tidbit showing Microsoft's true intentions in the PC space

Microsoft’s proposal contained a number of significant shortcomings connected with the growing and fast-moving nature of cloud gaming services:
  • It did not sufficiently cover different cloud gaming service business models, including multigame subscription services.
  • It was not sufficiently open to providers who might wish to offer versions of games on PC operating systems other than Windows.
  • It would standardise the terms and conditions on which games are available, as opposed to them being determined by the dynamism and creativity of competition in the market, as would be expected in the absence of the merger.
Given the remedy applies only to a defined set of Activision games, which can be streamed only in a defined set of cloud gaming services, provided they are purchased in a defined set of online stores, there are significant risks of disagreement and conflict between Microsoft and cloud gaming service providers, particularly over a ten-year period in a rapidly changing market.

Accepting Microsoft’s remedy would inevitably require some degree of regulatory oversight by the CMA. By contrast, preventing the merger would effectively allow market forces to continue to operate and shape the development of cloud gaming without this regulatory intervention.

TL;DR - Its possible they were trying to exclude other OSs, such as macOS, Linxu distros, etc, from being able to avail to their games. Additionally, their offers were standardising the terms and conditions for accessing such games, which prevents competition.

And Sony are the ones trying to create a monopoly 😂

There is no way to know that. If Sony wasn't there opposing it thing could've gone in a different direction. This is all political, MS chose to make this move at a time where governments want to at least pretend they are putting up a fight.

Sony was not the only company that opposed from the beginning, and the console SLC was not the reason that the deal was prohibited. So yes, there's definitely a way to know that based on the resolution.

Serves Microsoft and ABK right.

Accused the CMA of being pro Sony only to be shafted another way.

They are in a bigger hole now cause like the CMA have said whatever remedy Microsoft provided regarding Cloud gaming it would still be better if the merger didn’t happen.

GAME OVER.

I hope she gets fired. Completely unprofessional.
She is so bad, I'm having a hard time believing it's not on purpose. Maybe they just figured they sold at a bad time and wanted to just pocked MS $3B.

If Bob doesn't get fired it will look extremely suspicious.
