Anyone have further knowledge of the Canadian Competition Bureau. Does their opinion matter, even in a small way? Can they block the deal locally similar to the CMA?

I read in Xbox circles that they have missed the deadline, though I'm not sure what deadline they are referring to.

Haven't looked into it further but what Xidiots are talking about is the CMC saying they'll be monitoring past the date MS allowed themselves to close the deal (15 June), I believe.

Would that make much difference though? She already made it clear she's got no interest in "protecting Sony" (which is really protecting competition in the market but she seems to have written them out of the equation).

Yeah, the tone changed with Cloud, but the thing that stood out is that she wanted to know how the 10-year deals didn't help the competition. She was also aware it was a last minute decision to get the deal passed.

On another note, Judge closed saying it will be hard to make a decision. She also semi-complemented the FTC at the end.

MS lawyer was annoyed that the FTC implied Satya Nadella could be misleading about something. \
Also, Xbox fanboys are calling everyone ponies, as usual.
