Sniping who? Antagonizing who? How? By just saying there are people cheering for the acquisition there (and there are)?

That forum is dying a painful death, compromised by MS astroturfers and agents a long time ago. A true Orwellian hellscape for anyone who doesn't lick the taint of a near $3 trillion conglomerate's push to consolidate major chunks of the gaming industry just to "compete".

Weren’t there documents showing Microsoft wants to actually buy Sony and Nintendo? I thought I saw something like that around here and on Twitter. I wouldn’t put it past MS.

No.
In a week the judge will explain how she won't grant the preliminary injunction. The FTC is going to lose, just like everyone expected.

Microsoft (and Activision-Blizzard) will probably immediately strike and have the deal go through when the decsison is announced before the deal date. Any objections they have with CMA... they will take them later when it's already gone through.

It's pretty much over. Like I already said many times in the past. This whole thing was a huge waste of time for Sony, the FTC and the CMA. At least we got some interesting informations in the last few days. The budgets of Sony's 1st party games and Microsoft's acquisition targets after the the Activision-Blizzard acquisition. Sega will be next. I guess in 2024/2025.
Reality its gonna break your soul, because as a human being you are broken

I wonder what will happen to ms astroturfers when the deal gets blocked lol
Just watch @Sleepy Brown's account and find out.

The only thing that'll happen if the judge denies the injunction and MS closes over top of the CMA is that yep, ABK will become part of MS, right up until it's totally reversed and Microsoft is smashed into 10-15 different pieces by regulators around the world.

The best part about this, except for MS losing 3billion dollars, is that we also learned how they failed to buy Square Enix and failed to buy Sega. It seems failure is in their DNA.

You must be really popular in the downtown LA comedy club circuit 🤣

I think a big part of the problem with MS is they think of people as exploitable wallets. And that money is rightfully theirs to take. If they can't persuade you to give it to them (eg. Game Pass), they'll compel you to (buy up the most popular IPs and make them exclusive). This has been the attitude I've seen from MS ever since the XBox one reveal. Of course, it would be lovely if they saw people as customers who they need to earn loyalty and money from. Like, for example, consistently release great games to draw people to your platform. That's not happening, though, and we now have a really good look as to why with all the information from the FTC trial.

When I look at XBox fans like our own @Exanthus who is a cool cat that prefers the XBox platform, I genuinely want MS to just cut the bullshit and do better. But when I look at people like the one you are replying to - I realize they have no need to. There are people, some paid and some not, who will never expect or demand any standards from MS.
